Dolly Parton I Will Always Love You / Hello God Live on Tour 2016
Country stars celebrated Dolly Parton at CMA Awards 50th Anniversary when she took home the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award. “Grace and Frankie” star Lily Tomlin presented the award to her “9 to 5” co-star Dolly Parton “for being an iconic artist in country music,” she said. “Dolly is country music, pure and simple.”
Jennifer Nettles and Pentatonix paid tribute to Dolly Parton with an a cappella version of her hit “Jolene.” Reba McEntire then sang “9 to 5” with a full band, followed by Kacey Musgraves, who sang “Here You Come Again.” Carrie Underwood and Martina McBride then came out to join the others for a group rendition of “I Will Always Love You,” which brought tears to Parton’s eyes.
The last time Dolly Parton sang I Will Always Love You was on her Pure & Simple 2016 Tour. The country superstar performed her signature song followed by Hello God/He's Alive on Dolly Parton encore live in concert at sold-out world-famous Hollywood Bowl, Los Angeles, CA on October 2, 2016. Whitney Houston made Dolly Parton's composition rearrangement of I Will Always Love You her biggest hit from the 1991 film soundtrack The Bodyguard.
Country star Dolly Parton received the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award at the 50th annual Country Music Association Awards. Parton receives the CMA award in Nashville on Nov. 2, 2016. Dolly Parton is a nine-time CMA winner, including entertainer of the year.

Jon Anderson 1000 Hands Ramalama, Makes Me Happy, WDMCF, First Born Leaders, Come Up Live 2019
Five great new songs from Yes co-founder Jon Anderson's latest album 1000 Hands (released March 31, 2019) are performed in concert. Ramalama, Makes Me Happy (3:30), Where Does Music Come From? WDMCF (7:12), First Born Leaders (11:06) and Come Up (17:52) were live by the Yes original vocalist at Saban Theater, Beverly Hills, CA on April 26, 2019.
The voice of Yes Jon Anderson's eight-piece band members are Michael Franklin, musical director and keyboardist, Tim Franklin on bass, drummer Matt Brown, guitarist Tommy Calton, violinist Jocelyn Hsu, percussionist Steady Joseph, keyboardist / trombonist Joe Cosas and saxophonist / flutist Billy Meethers.
Ultimate Classic Rock album review excerpt: Jon Anderson's first solo album since 2011 featured former Yes bandmates Steve Howe, Alan White and the late Chris Squire. Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull, Billy Cobham, Jean-Luc Ponty and Chick Corea also take guest turns on 1,000 Hands.
I've spent long periods of time making some records, but I’ve never taken a journey quite like this one, Anderson said in a news release. To say that 1,000 Hands has been a long time in coming would be quite an understatement, but I'm thrilled that it’s finally a reality and that my fans will now be able to hear it. And I think they'll be delighted to hear music that's timeless. It's one of the best things I've ever done.
Anderson actually began work on 1,000 Hands, which was then titled Uzlot, 30 years ago in Big Bear, CA. Those sessions included both White and Squire, who lost a battle with cancer in 2015. Before you knew it, I started getting involved in other projects and tours, and years went by, Anderson said. I would listen to the tapes from time to time and think, 'This could have been a great album! One day I’ll finish it.'
Producer Michael T. Franklin returned to work on the project with Anderson about a year and a half ago. Our ideas still matched, Anderson noted. Michael knew everything I wanted to do and how I wanted the music to sound, so we agreed to go for it.
Anderson eventually added four more songs to the project. Newer sessions included a list of other musical friends that eventually grew to include Steve Morse of Deep Purple, Rick Derringer, Jonathan Cain of Journey and the Tower of Power horns, among others. That's where the title 1,000 Hands comes from, all of the brilliant musicians who played a part in making the record, Anderson said.
Jon Anderson's '1000 Hands' U.S. Spring 2019 Tour is in support of his first solo album since 2011. Dates/Locations/Venues

The Turtles continue to be the signature headliners of the Happy Together Tour 2018. The Monkees I'm A Believer, Good Times! Peter Tork, Micky Dolenz Live 2016
For the first time since Davy Jones died in 2012 of a heart attack, The Monkees original members Micky Dolenz and Peter Tork sing on live TV. I'm A Believer and She Makes Me Laugh was performed on GMA the morning of June 1, 2016.
In 1967, The Monkees sold more records than The Beatles and The Rolling Stones combined. Jimi Hendrix Experience was the opening act on The Monkees sixties national tour.
‘I’m A Believer’ from ‘More of the Monkees’ (1967) is The Monkees biggest and most enduring hit, staying at Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 for seven weeks. The Monkees most identifiable song was written by a young Neil Diamond, but the group made it their own thanks to the dynamic vocals of Mickey Dolenz. As the featured single from the band's second album, 'More Of The Monkees' was one of the biggest selling pop/rock albums of the '60's, sitting atop the Billboard 200 album charts for 18 weeks.
In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the launch of The Monkees, Micky Dolenz, Peter Tork and Michael Nesmith released Good Times, the band's first album in 20 years. If I had known I was going to live this long, I would have taken better care of myself, Mickey Dolenz joked.
The Monkees' first studio album in 20 years was released May 27, 2016. Good Times! celebrates the band's 50th anniversary and features new contributions from surviving members Michael Nesmith, Micky Dolenz and Peter Tork. CD also includes tunes written especially for the project by various respected modern-rock artists.
Mike Nesmith said he was pleasantly surprised with Good Times! I thought it came out great, and the songs that people have been writing for it I thought were great, noted Nesmith. It just came together like an ordinary record, but because it was our 50th [anniversary], we knew it was gonna be kind of a touchstone, so everybody had high hopes for it, he continued. And then when it came out like it did, it was like, 'Holy smokes, this actually…sounds good!' And so, we were thrilled.
The album includes tunes written by Weezer's Rivers Cuomo, Oasis' Noel Gallagher, The Jam's Paul Weller, XTC's Andy Partridge and Death Cab for Cutie's Ben Gibbard. Nesmith said he especially liked Gibbard's contribution, Me and Magdelana, as well as a track that Weller and Gallagher co-wrote, Birth of an Accidental Hipster.
On Me and Magdelana, Nesmith trades lead vocals with Dolenz. He said that working with his old band mate on the parts for that song, and other tracks, was one of the things he most enjoyed about making the album. It was very easy 'cause we worked together for so long, he pointed out, adding that having the different writers gave us so many more things to say and so many more opportunities at a good time. Ha! No pun intended.
Good Times! certainly shares many elements with The Monkees' classic 1960s material, including infectious melodies and jangly guitars. Still, Nesmith feels that the new album is more than a trip down memory lane. The thing that I think works so good about the new record is that it really is in the moment, he insisted. It's happening right now. These are real people, right now, singing it in this real time.

Sir Ringo Starr Announces Details for 10th Annual Peace & Love Birthday Celebration - News Today
Sir Ringo Starr Announces Details for 10th Annual Peace & Love Birthday Celebration - News Today
Music News,News,Ringo Starr Sir Ringo Starr has a birthday coming up, and to celebrate he wants us all to spread a little Peace and Love. Everyone’s favorite knight of the realm will observe turning 78 on July 7 by inviting the world to come together in a moment of peace, love and unity. Starr himself will be in Nice, France at the Hard Rock Cafe — a fitting location considering he started the tradition 10 years ago at the Chicago branch of the franchise. But don’t worry if you can’t make the trip. All he asks is for everyone — everywhere — to think, say, or post “#PeaceandLove” at noon their local time, thus creating a wave of positivity that will travel across the globe. The annual celebration began in 2008, when an interviewer casually asked Starr what he wanted for his birthday. The answer, of course, was “Peace and Love.” Since then, the idea has flourished into an international event, earning sponsors including Hard Rock and The David Lynch Foundation, an organization that teaches meditation to at-risk individuals. “I can’t think of a better way to celebrate my birthday, or a better gift I could ask for, than Peace and Love,” he says in a statement. “I was blown away last year with how far this idea keeps spreading — we started in New Zealand, had people sending Peace and Love from Antarctica, Japan, Costa Rica, India, Russia, Brazil, Europe, London, Liverpool and Hawaii. It was so far out. So here we are 10 years later and it keeps growing.” Kicking off the festive mood, Starr has released a new music video for “Give More Love,” the title track to his 2017 album. “There are a lot of people hurting out there, and if we give nothing else we have to give love,” he told PEOPLE of the song’s message in September. “I try and do that to the best of my ability. We have to remember we are not saints—sometimes there’s the other attitude, the reactive. I try not to get too much of that. But we’re doing the best we can.” This fall, the rock legend will spread Peace and Love in person as he heads out on the road with his All-Starr Band. Check out tour dates below.
