The ski resort Harenda is located in Zakopane (Poland, Lesser Poland (Województwo małopolskie)). For skiing and snowboarding, there are 4 km of slopes available, 4 liftstransport the guests. The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 787 and 997 m.
The Harenda ski resort is located on the edge of Zakopane and offers pretty challenging slopes that are accessed by a modern quad chair lift with a conveyor belt boarding system. There is a beautiful view of Zakopane and the High Tatra mountains from the mountain station.
Ośrodek narciarski Harenda położony jest na południowo-wschodnich zboczach Rafaczówki stanowiącej w zasadzie przedłużenie grzbietu Gubałówki. Narciarze mają tu do dyspozycji trzy wyciągi orczykowe oraz uruchomioną w 2006 r 4-osobową kolejkę krzesełkową. Kanapa o długości 550 m i przewyższeniu ok. 200 m może przewieźć do 2400 osób na godzinę. Stok jest oświetlony (czynny do godz. 21.00) i posiada system sztucznego naśnieżania. O godzinie 15.00 rozpoczyna się godzinna przerwa na ratrakowanie stoku. Trasy na Harendzie przeznaczone są zarówno dla początkujących (3 trasy zielone), jak i doświadczonych narciarzy.
HARENDA – горнолыжный курорт расположен на окраине Закопане (Польша), в жилом массиве с таким же названием. Массив HARENDA находится на высоте 750 – 770 метров над уровнем моря у подножия горы Rafaczówkа.
Самый новый горнолыжный комплекс в Закопане. На территории комплекса: 3 бугельных подъемника и 4-местный кресельный подъемник. Есть 4 трассы для начинающих лыжников (100-500 м), одна трасса средней трудности
(1200 м), красная трасса (1000 м) и черная трасса (900 м). HARENDA – одна из самых лучших горнолыжных площадок в Закопане.
Несмотря на небольшие размеры, тут есть все для удобства катания: отели и пункты обслуживающие горнолыжников. Большинство трасс горнолыжного комплекса покрываются искусственным снегом, освещены, и обслуживаются ратраками.

The world's largest labyrinth of snow was built in Poland. It is located in the ski resort of Zakopane, at the foot of the Wielka Krokiew Mountains, which is the country's highest ski jump.

The labyrinth is laid out from 60,000 snow blocks with a height of 2 meters. Next to it was installed a snow knight’s castle with a height of 16 meters. It has slides for sledging, numerous tunnels and passages, viewing platforms. There is also a real blacksmith shop, an exhibition of knightly armor and a square where costumed knightly tournaments are held.

Why Zakopane though?
Because it's cheap and that would be enough, really. Ok! It is a cute town too. The winter capital of Poland is a small - but quite vibrant - town with plenty of infrastructure and nice people around.
Like in the Alps, there's snow, there are ski resorts, there are cottages - and wonderful foods... But mostly it has the zloty, the Polish currency, that makes it possible for budget travelers like us to enjoy it all.
Ah, forget about speaking English also. Get your hands moving and mimic as much as you can to make yourself clear. Rehearse well your Dziękuję! (thank you!) and your Proszę (please) and waste no more time! Enjoy!
