Tagata Shrine Fertility Festival is held in March just outside Nagoya. A giant wooden phallus is paraded around the streets.

As people queue for the traditional first visit of the year to a local Shinto shrine in Japan, taiko drummers entertain the crowds. Here at Harina Jinja in Nagoya, the taiko group are in their last set.

熱田神宮よりかなり離れていますが
熱田神宮関連の神社になります
古代の名古屋は
熱田神宮辺りから大高までは海だったらしく
南区は全て海
熱田社から見て海を挟んであるように
この氷上姉子神社があったみたいです
祭神 宮簀媛命（みやすひめのみこと/みやずひめのみこと）
名古屋で言えば大高という駅がありますが
その近くです

Rabu, 19 Februari 2014, berangkat ke Jepang mengunjungi guru saya, Prof. Sadahisa Sugiyama. Disini saat ini suhunya kira-kira 3 derajat Celcius, terasa dingin banget! Kalau di Narita tadi pas turun suhunya itu -1 derajat Celcius. Seru ini kota, penduduknya pada teratur sekali dan ramah sekali.. Semoga bisa belajar banyak dari perjalanan ke Jepang kali ini..

Taiko Drum performance in Nagoya, Japan
Arimatsu Festival II - 有松山車祭り
Arimatsu Festival in south eastern Nagoya is held annually in early October. 3 festival floats are paraded through the old part of town pulled by the local men. Karakuri dolls (mechanized puppets) are mounted on the floats and are the highlight of the festival. At night the floats are illuminated along with lanterns along the main street in town.
