There are no stores or food stalls on the island so you have to bring your food. Please collect and bring back any garbage to the mainland for proper disposal.

To get there, hail a tricycle from anywhere in the city and ask the driver to drop you off at the bantay dagat (sanctuary / fish warden) hut in Brgy Lazareto. There is no entrance fee to the but you have to rent a boat at around P500 / day. It is would also help to give a donation to the bantay dagat volunteers for their conservation / protection efforts.

There is a part of Calapan Bay where the Harka PIloto island can be viewed.

Harka Piloto is a 25 hectare marine sanctuary located in Silonay Island off the eastern shorelines of Calapan. Established in 2004 for protection and propagation of sea fish species and other aquatic resources that had been facing shortage and extinction due to illegal fishing activities, Harka Piloto is being managed by the City Government of Calapan thru the active involvement of local 'Bantay Dagat volunteers. It is now a favorite site for snorkeling and diving. One will enjoy underwater experience seeing rich collection of corals and colorful fish varieties. Caution must be taken when swimming because water current is strong between Silonay and Aganhao Islands. Aganhao is a smaller islet, with strip of white sand beach, which serves as spill-over site for visitors going to Harka Piloto.
