We take a quick ride on one of three elevators that serves the guest rooms at Harrah's Joliet, in Joliet, Illinois. They are Otis traction passenger elevators. One interesting thing that is not visible in this video is that there is a remote operating station at the front desk, so front desk employees might recall the elevator or do other special things. The casino was opened in 1993, which would seem to be roughly when the elevator was installed based on the vintage of the fixtures in the cab.
Unfortunately floors 9, 10, and 11 were locked out, requiring card access, and we were unable to go to the top landing as a result.

Joliet Harrah's Casino Sued Over Facial Recognition:

A new Will County lawsuit accuses Harrah's Casino in downtown Joliet of violating the state's Biometric Information Privacy Act by possessing the facial geometry scans and identifying information of its Joliet casino customers without creating and following a written policy, made available to the public.
The lawsuit asks a Will County judge to award liquidated or actual monetary damages, whichever is higher, to lawsuit co-plaintiffs Leon Martin and Anthony Adams and members of the class action lawsuit, for each violation of the Biometric Information Privacy Act.
The lawsuit was filed by attorney Douglas Werman of Werman Salas P.C. in Chicago and New York attorneys Joseph A. Fitapelli and Dana Cimera of Fitapelli & Schaffer. The same law firm has also filed a near-identical lawsuit at the Will County Courthouse against Joliet's other gambling casino, Hollywood Casino in Joliet.
Defendants use facial recognition technology with their video security cameras at their Illinois casinos, the suit explains. Defendants' facial recognition technology identifies a person by scanning the geometry of a person's facial features and comparing that scan against databases of stored facial geometry templates.
According to the lawsuit, the co-plaintiffs are residents of Illinois and both members of the Caesars rewards program who gambled at defendants' Harrah's Joliet casino during the limitations period.
Adams has gambled at defendants' Harrah's Joliet casino hundreds of times in the last five years, including most recently within the last week, the suit states. Adams has been a member of the Caesars rewards program for approximately two to three years.

Harrah's Akchin Tower Room 2031
Due to appointments, I couldn't do a Vegas or Laughlin trip this time, so I stayed 1 night at Harrah's Akchin in Maricopa, AZ. It's about a 1 hour drive from my house. There was a sale this spring, so I stayed here 6/14/15. This was the first time I had been here. Nice little property. Pretty clean and maintained. This was my tower room. You don't have to hear me talk this time.
