About me:
I'm a filmmaker; I like traveling to many places in California looking for the most unique and impressive places to shoot videos. In fact, California is such an amazing state with so many places to visit like art museums and landmarks! But many people don't have the opportunity to visit California because it's very expensive to travel to the Golden State. Instead of traveling, I will take you on a tour to those places and my travel videos will show you a lot of scenic sights and monuments absolutely free on my Youtube Channel.

Reno Nevada The Arch Harrah's Casino Hotel Video Sammy Davis Jr Biggest Little City in The World
Reno Nevada Harrah's Casino Hotel Video Review Sammy Davis Jr. Display Biggest Little City in The World This is a quick video of my trip to Reno on our way to deliver a car. The video starts in Harrah's Casino donwtown Reno where you are not allowed to smoke in the restrooms but the casino is ok. They have a big wall of plackards that show all of the shows and people that have performed at this casino. Lots of famous people have been here before. The Theatre is named after Sammy Davis Jr. and they have a whole display dedicated to him. He was the one everyone came to see. Reno is a cool town that I enjoy. I tried to go to the Horseshoe Pawn where they have a bunch of really cool stuff but they were closed. If you ever have a chance to stop and visit Reno I would suggest it.

Walking Around Reno (Nevada) & Virginia Street
Known as The Biggest Little City in the World, Reno is famous for its hotels and casinos and as the birthplace of Harrah's Entertainment (now known as Caesars Entertainment Corporation). However, the impact from all of the new Indian casinos in Northern California is more than apparent with most of the smaller casinos and motels now closed plus there's no shortage of homeless etc walking around the downtown / Virginia Street....

Harrah's Reno hotel will be sold and will cease gaming operations
It’s official. Caesars Entertainment just confirmed that Harrah’s Reno will be sold to an affiliate of CAI Investments for $50 million, closing the chapter on one of downtown Reno’s iconic hotel-casinos.Caesars, which has been leasing Harrah’s Reno from VICI Properties, made the announcement on Wednesday afternoon after news of the sale leaked the day before. The proceeds of the sale will be split 75-25 between VICI Properties and Caesars Entertainment, reports the Reno Gazette Journal, which is part of the USA TODAY Network. The sale includes an agreement for Caesars to lease the property from the new owner for the first half of the year. During this time, Harrah's Reno will continue to be part of the Caesars Rewards network. The property will then be handed over to new ownership later this year and turned into a mixed-use, non-gaming property. The sale is subject to regulatory approval.More:Developer shares plans for high-end boutique hotel in downtown Reno“The sale of Harrah’s Reno demonstrates our ability to continuously work constructively with our tenants to improve our individual businesses, said John Payne, President and COO of VICI Properties, in a prepared statement sent via e-mail. This disposition will allow VICI to optimize the quality of our real estate portfolio and redeploy the proceeds toward other attractive growth opportunities while maintaining the existing financial terms of the Non-CPLV Master Lease with Caesars. The buyer, Reno City Center LLC, is no stranger to The Biggest Little City. State records list Chris Beavor of Las Vegas-based Silver State Realty & Investments as the registered agent for the company. Beavor is also the CEO of CAI Investments, which is planning to build a 20-story boutique hotel on Court Street.“Being originally from the Reno/Sparks community, it is with great pride that we are investing in the Reno area by redeveloping this property,” Beavor said.A downtown Reno institutionHarrah’s Reno is a big part of Northern Nevada’s gaming history. The property’s roots can be traced back to 1937 when William Harrah, a Reno gaming scene upstart in his 20s, opened a bingo parlor on the site. The parlor would unceremoniously close shortly after that but Harrah would soldier on, turning his ragtag collection of parlors into a regional gaming empire with properties in Reno Tahoe and Las Vegas. In 1973, Harrah’s Inc., also became the first gaming company to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange.Reinventing Camelot:Rancharrah tale enters a new chapterEven after Harrah’s death in 1978, the company he left behind continued to grow. In 2005, Harrah’s pulled off what was then the biggest merger in the industry with its $9 billion acquisition of Caesars Entertainment. The acquisition eclipsed an earlier deal between competitors MGM Mirage and Mandalay Resort Group. Just a few years later, however, the merged company became the poster child for a rash of leveraged buyouts that preceded the Great Recession. Caesars Ente

Places to see in ( Reno - USA )
Reno is a city in the U.S. state of Nevada, located in the western part of the state, approximately 22 miles from Lake Tahoe. Known as The Biggest Little City in the World, Reno is famous for its hotels and casinos. It is the county seat of Washoe County, in the northwestern part of the state. The city sits in a high desert at the foot of the Sierra Nevada and its downtown area (along with Sparks) occupies a valley informally known as the Truckee Meadows. It is named after slain Union Major General Jesse L. Reno.
Reno is the third-most populous city in Nevada after Las Vegas and Henderson and the most populous city in the state outside the Las Vegas Valley. Before the late 1950s, Reno was the gambling capital of the United States, but Las Vegas' rapid growth, American Airlines' 2000 buyout of Reno Air, and the growth of Native American gaming in California have reduced its business. Older casinos were torn down (Mapes Hotel, Fitzgerald's Nevada Club, Primadonna, Horseshoe Club, Harold's Club, Palace Club), or smaller casinos like the Comstock, Sundowner, Golden Phoenix, Kings Inn, Money Tree, Virginian, and Riverboat were either closed or were converted into condos.
Because of its location, Reno has traditionally drawn the majority of its California tourists and gamblers from the San Francisco Bay Area and Sacramento, while Las Vegas has historically served more tourists from Southern California and the Phoenix area.
Several local large hotel casinos have shown significant growth and have moved gaming further away from the downtown core. These larger hotel casinos are the Atlantis, the Peppermill and the Grand Sierra Resort. The Peppermill was chosen as the most outstanding Reno gaming/hotel property by Casino Player and Nevada magazines. In 2005, the Peppermill Reno began a $300 million Tuscan-themed expansion.

Downtown Reno casinos
A tour of Downtown Reno casinos where I broke in as a craps dealer. Harrah's, Harolds Club, Eldorado, Circus Circus, Silver Legacy, Club Cal-Neva, Nevada Club, Fitzgeralds, John Asquaga's Nugget, Grand Sierra Resort (Was MGM Grand in 1978) are mentioned. My first blackjack barring for card counting was at the Eldorado casino in 1997. Years before that, I was dealing 25 cent craps games at the Club Cal-Neva, which helped me land a craps dealing job at Del Webb's Mint Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. If a dealer can deal in 25 cent units, he/she can deal in high limit games thinking in units. I also dealt craps at Harolds Club, which was bought and torn down by Harrah's along with the Nevada Club in the 90's.
Also captured in the video is the National Bowling Stadium (or Center) and Aces Ballpark, home of Pacific Coast League's Arizona Diamondbacks Triple-A minor league baseball franchise, Reno Aces.
