A museum worth traveling for and it's in our own backyard! Hastings Museum made two national online lists as a don't-miss destination.
TripAdvisor's FlipKey Blog added the museum to its list of the 50 museums worth traveling for.
Only one museum in each state was selected, among art museums, children's museums and historical museums.
In another national list, the Huffington Post's travel section featured the local museum.
It's part of an article called This is one tourist trap you're missing out on in each US state.
Their idea was to wipe away all the labels and just highlight one destination in each state that perhaps gets overlooked, but really deserves to be visited, Hastings Museum Director, Becky Matticks said.
Hastings Museum is the largest municipal museum between Chicago and Denver.
