The closest island getaway to the city of Tokyo, Japan! Exploring Atami and Hatsushima Island. When I got there i realized its a destination that easy to get to and so naturally beautiful but almost unknown! I'm trying to put this place on the map for anyone visiting japan!

[Cycling Japan] Summer Cycling Special: Atami - Ashinoko - Hatsushima

A weekend summer trip to Atami along the coast of the Izu Peninsula gave me a chance to explore more roads around Hakone, as well as the few roads on the tiny island of Hatsushima (~3km around)...

Hot spring resort in Shizuoka Prefecture.
The entire area of Atami has many restaurants, cute souvenir shops, Onsen Ryokan , Hotels and luxury apartments. Really enjoyed the awesome panoramic view from the top of Atami Castle.
