Hattiangady
Hattiangady, which was once a capital of Alupa Kings, is now a small village. The only solace of this forlorn village is the temple of Sri Siddhi Vinayaka.
Hattiangadi is a place of serene atmosphere. The major attraction of this place is the temple of Sri Siddhivinayaka which is supposed to have been constructed around the seventh or eighth century. It is a popular pilgrim centre where Sri Siddhivinayaka is worshipped by lakhs of devotees.
It is the only Temple in India, where the idol of Lord Vinayaka sports a jata-hair. The idol itself is carved of a Saligrama stone and is 2.5 feet high and Vinayaka's curly hair is left loose at the back.
Anegudde Sri Vinayaka Temple
Anegudde Sri Vinayaka temple is in Kundapur Taluk, Udupi district, Karnataka, India. This place is also known as Kumbhashi. It is about 9 km from Kundapur. Anegudde is one of the seven ‘Mukti Sthalas’ (Parashurama Kshetra)in coastal Karnataka. Other places to visit in Kumbashi are Shree Harihara temple, Shree Surynarayana temple and Shree Aiyappa swamy temple. All the three temples are located in the vicinity of Anegudde temple. This sacred spot was called as Harihara Kshethra during Krutha Yuga, Madhukanana in Thretha Yuga and Gowthama in Dwapara Yuga. In Kali Yuga, it is famous as Kumbhashi. Lord Vinayaka here is said to be a swayambhu (emerged by himself) who manifested in Dwapara Yuga. The Moolabimba is massive in size and exhibited in the form of an elephant. Only the trunk portion is clearly visible and the darshana of this deity is symbolic. It is also believed that the statue of Lord Ganapathi is growing every year. While the name Kumbhashi is said to be derived from Kumbhasura, who was slain here. The story behind the name goes like this…. Long ago when this area was hit by drought, sage Agasthya came here to perform yagna to please the rain god. During that time the demon Kumbhasura tried to disrupt the yagna by troubling sages performing the yagna. To rescue the sages Lord Ganesha blessed Bheema, the strongest among the Pandavas(In their exile period) with a sword, using which Bheema killed the demon and facilitated the completion of the yagna. Hence the name Kumbashi. The name Anegudde comes from Aane (elephant) and Gudde (hillock), as it is the abode of the elephant-headed god, Sri Vinayaka. Here, Lord Ganapathi is also called, ‘Siddhi Vinakaya’ and ‘Sarva Siddhi Pradaayaka’, the provider of all boons. People come here with all kinds of wishes. Lord Vinayaka here is said to fulfill all the wishes of his devotees.

Guddattu Sri Vinayaka Temple
Guddattu Sri Vinayaka Temple is in Kundapur taluk, Udupi district, Karnataka, India. Shree Guddattu Vinayaka Temple is a rare specimen of its kind that is unique in several aspects. It is unique in that it is a natural temple. In fact, a captivating huge rock surrounded by verdant fields itself is the abode of Lord Vinayaka here. Nowhere else in the world you can find cross-legged and pot-bellied Ganapa with a twisted trunk seated in a pool of water. Only here one can see the original self –existent presiding deity of this temple submerged upto the neck in water. As nature here is at her vibrant best, Guddattu is a dream-come-true to nature lovers. Yet another feature of the idol here that it was neither sculpted nor installed, it is self - manifest (Swayambhu).
Ayar Koda Seva (which means 'Sahasrakumbabhisheka') is a special and unique seva performed here. Ayar Koda Seva starts with draining the water from the cave and then abhisheka with water is done till the water overflows from the cave, that is up to neck level of the Lord Ganapathi. This seva requires about thousand pots of water and hence Pooja is called 'Ayar Koda Seva'. This is very popular seva and devotees will have to book their dates at least six months in advance. Ganahoma, Mudiakkikadabu, Kayi Moodaganapathi, Panchakajjaya etc are also performed here.
