Ocean City NJ boardwalk survives Hurricane Sandy
FEAR NOT! The Ocean City NJ boardwalk survives Hurricane Sandy. Amazingly the dunes all along the boardwalk (1st-23rd Stree) are flattened and either under the boardwalk or else pushed into the streets. However, merchants on the boardwalk say that the ocean got into basements, but not directly into their business on the boardwalk! AMAZING! 11-11-12. Looks like a ormal day on the boardwalk. Town was NOT so lucky!!!

Here Is Some History On Pirate's Island Adventure Golf:
The first miniature golf course in the world was the “Men’s’ Putting Club of St. Andrews” in Scotland, and was founded in 1867. Europe spawned the minigolf revolution, which didn’t make an appearance in the United States until 1916, at Pinehurst, NC. Popularity gained momentum in America with the advent of “Tom Thumb” mingolf, at “Lookout Mountain” near Chattanooga, TN. in 1927.
By the mid1930’s, miniature golf died down, but was revived by Joseph & Robert Taylor from Binghamton, NY. Their courses left behind the natural rolling terrain of the early years and included the windmills, castles and obstacles many baby boomers grew up with.
In the 1970’s James Bryan & Al Tirrell, of Myrtle Beach, SC, brought miniature golf out of the ground with extensive landscaping, hills, lakes and waterfalls. Their creation, Junglegolf, was the very first of it’s kind. During the 1980’s, Ed Graft, of Traverse City, MI coined the term “Adventure Golf”. Junglegolf, Pirate’s Cove & Pirate’s Island set the standards for today’s Adventure Golf Courses.

Giving back socially to the communities in which we do business, as well as to national foundations, through events and fundraisers has been one of the most rewarding aspects of our business. Each of our golf courses are collection points for the Marine Corps “Toys for Tots,” as well as drop off stations for Thanksgiving day food drives. Most locations also participate in “Avon’s Walk for Breast Cancer,” and we have several survivors as team members.
Putting for Patriots is an established annual fundraising event that supports three pre-screened charities that efficiently serve our wounded, their families and the survivors of fallen military members. This event takes place each May, culminating on Memorial Day weekend.

Urban Exploration: Abandoned Livingston Haunted House
Urban Exploration: Abandoned Livingston Creepy House
Built in the late 1700s, this was Mr Livingston's main home. This abandoned now 5,000 Square foot home started out smaller and then was expanded as the years went on. This property also had a smaller home which was considered the slaves quarters. The 500+ acre property Livingston owned was a striving agricultural location for the area. Mr Livingston was a famous and popular man for the area in it times featured in many papers and was president of many clubs. You probably remember the Farmhouse I just posted a few months ago, it resides on this property. In the late 1900s, the property sold to a school right near by. While the school owned it, they rented out the properties to other families. In 1984, this entire property was listed as an historical site due to it long history and was put on the national historical registry. In the year 2000, the school decided to put the property up for sale due it bankrupt issues. People renting the homes had to leave b/c of this. Today the houses remained boarded up, and in terrible shape. A developer owns the land but can not do anything to these homes b/c they were put on the historical registry. When I toured this home, I just had that weird feeling like I was being watched. The floors were in bad shape and I had to wear my respirator mask at it had a terrible smell of mold. I wasn't able to tour this entire house b/c of structural issues with the 3rd floor. Hope you enjoy and video to follow. As always, like, comment, share.

See Top Secret Bunker Where 7,000 Americans Will Go in Event of Nuclear Bomb
A new book is highlighting some of the top-secret locations in America that could serve as a de facto White House in the event of a nuclear strike. A bunker built into a hollowed out mountain in Colorado is just one of the covert shelters where 7,000 Americans will go to in the event of nuclear annihilation, according to Garrett Graff, the author of 'Raven Rock: The U.S. Government's Secret Plan to Save Itself While the Rest of Us Die.'
