Haunted History, in Blönduós, Iceland.
If these walls could talk, they might sound like sirens of the sea.
The former women's school, Kvennaskólinn, is a local treasure to the textiles industry and history of northern Iceland.
The school is now a museum located in Blönduós (north west Iceland). Aðalbjörg, the former head mistress of the school channels the past, taking us through Minjastófa Kvennaskólinns (the exhibition of the former women's school).
The Kvennaskólinn building also hosts a Textiles Artist Residency (Textílsetur) that merges old fashioned rural charm with new contemporary textile arts.
With warm thanks to Aðalbjörg Ingvarsdóttir.

Spending the night in Iceland’s haunted Hvítárnes Hut
The Hvítárnes by the Hvítárvatn hut is regarded as the most haunted location in Iceland. Situated in the country’s highlands, Hvítárvatn is located more than 30km from the nearest settlement. It has no electricity, WiFi, telephone or running water. It’s impossible to get any mobile phone signal - this really is one of the most remote places in Europe.
But this hut has a dark past. Built on the site of an abandoned village, this area has a legend of a brutal murder, and it is this victim that is said t haunt Hvítárvatn - the female ghost, who for over 80 years, has terrified people who have slept inside. The stories are terrifying. But for one night, Dead Air’s Rob drove for 3 hours through the remote dirt roads to spend the night here...alone.
Many special thanks to Halldór Gunnarsson who studied this hut for his university thesis. Your research and stories helped make this video!

Poltergeist or Huldufólk? | Haunted Beach of Stokksnes, ICELAND
We traveled over 2000 miles to see for ourselves if a #Viking ghost or other supernatural activity would occur on a haunted beach in #Iceland. Remote, isolated Stokksnes, known for its picturesque Vestrahorn Mountains and black sand, holds more secrets than it lets on. While something weird did happen to us, we will never know for sure if it was paranormal.
