Mr H and the girls switch counties and travel to Penrith in Cumbria to explore the exposed ruins of the lost village of Mardale Green, sometimes referred to by the media as 'Cumbria's Atlantis' which normally lies in a watery grave beneath the hidden depths of Haweswater Reservoir and can only be seen during prolonged spells of hot weather.
Haweswater Reservoir, Cumbria, UK - 3rd September, 2013
Haweswater Reservoir is situated in the Lake District National Park in Cumbria, UK. It is a man-made reservoir formed in the late 1920s through the flooding of a valley, after a man made dam was built. This video features footage from mainly the South end of the reservoir, with views down to the reservoir, and around it of the dramatic valley sides and luscious green Cumbrian countryside.

Haweswater Reservoir and Mardale village, Cumbria
In the valley of Mardale, the Haweswater reservoir saw the flooding out of a village that is now a magnet for divers. A fascinating dive into the past, along a river bed, old pebble road track. Diving under and above the Mardale bridge is a must.
Identifying what is road, and what is river bed can be a gas :-)

Haweswater Farms Lost In Time. 1080p HD ????
As the water level has dropped some of the old farms at Riggindale have appeared on the North shore of Hawes water in Cumbria UK. The reservoir construction started in 1929 to supply Manchester with water, it caused a public outcry because of the farming villages of Measand and Mardale Green would be flooded and the picturesque valley would be altered forever. The farms I have filmed is at Riggindale Beck. Filmed with the Mavic 2 zoom.

Haweswater Hotel In The Lake District.1080p HD????
In the ever-busy lives we live, there's a Hotel in the heart of the lake district on a dead end road to nowhere and that can be a special thing to find these days. The Haweswater Hotel is quite a unique place to stay with its 1930s art deco rooms and stunning views of the mountings and the reservoir, I always love stopping off here for a refreshing beer after filming this beautiful area. Thanks to the Haweswater Hotel for letting me film. Filmed with the Mavic 2 zoom drone,
