New Zealand - Exploring Napier & The Hawkes Bay region
New Zealand is a wonderful holiday playground for the whole family – as we were about to find out. Our first stop on the country’s North island was the stunning Hawkes Bay region and the lovely town of Napier. This rather funky city was destroyed by a huge earthquake in 1931 and totally rebuilt in the unique art deco style of the 1920’s and 30’s. Nearby attractions included the National Aquarium of New Zealand, an apple orchard and the Amazing Maze 'n Maize

HOOTERS VINTAGE CAR TOURS /// NAPIER, HAWKE'S BAY, NEW ZEALAND
Hawke's Bay is an amazing region of New Zealand. Located on the North Island, Napier is the art deco capital of the world. There are lots of beautiful buildings and the best way to see them is taking a vintage car tour.
We've been to Hawke's Bay 3 times to this date and tried many attractions this region has to offer. Vintage car tour definitely is a must, doesn't matter if you travel solo, with your partner or with a whole family. We've been on a vintage car tour 3 times and we can definitely recommend Hooters - company based in Napier and providing not only tours but also vintage car hire. They have so many different classic cars and lots of options to choose from: if you are travelling in a group, you can rent a vintage bus; you can do a sightseeing tour (like the one in this video) or wineries tour; you can hire a car for Napier Art Deco Festival or for other special occasions.
We hope you enjoyed this short travel video about one of the top Hawke's Bay attractions. If you're looking for more things to do in Hawke's bay, check out our videos from this playlist:

New Zealand, North Island Farming Compilation | Pumpkin - Squash - Kiwi's and Maize [Dronly]
a three-step video compilation of some farming activities I have spotted during my visit on the North Island.
- Bostock Farming New Zealand, harvesting Pumpkin, Squash or Buttercup - whatever it is exactly called near Hastings in the beautiful Hawke's Bay area. Using a, to what I have understood, self build converted JD forage harvester.
- Kiwi orchards near Te Puke. This is New Zealands largest Kiwi producing area. When i was there the harvest was still one month away, so unfortunately no footage of the picking.
- Maize Silage harvest in the hills near Tokoroa with the crew from Ireland Contracting with there awesome looking JCB 435 special edition wheel loader which carries the All Blacks / Silver Fern livery.
Thanks for watching!

Exploring Hawkes Bay, New Zealand - Arataki Honey, Clifton & More - North Island Roadtrip Vlog Day 9
Day 9 of our 42-day trip around the North Island of New Zealand was a work and exploration day in Napier, Hawkes Bay. We started the day with some work and then headed out for the afternoon. First stop, lunch at The Black Shed.
From there we left Napier and headed to Havelock North to check out Arataki Honey before making our way down to Clifton. As the sun was going down, we came back to Napier and got dinner at Indigo Indian Restaurant again and had our minds blown with more amazing Indian cuisine. Finally, we enjoyed the night lights around Napier, including the beautifully lit Tom Parker Fountain.
We stayed at the Nautilus Hotel for the duration of our time in Napier. The Nautilus is an absolutely beautiful hotel, I can't recommend it enough. Enjoy!

Napier, New Zealand
Napier is a port city in the Hawke's Bay of North Island. The city is often referred as an Art Deco Capital of the World, it is famous for the architecture: the city center has a huge number of Art Deco buildings. The city was completely destroyed in 1931 and had to be rebuilt, the Art Deco style was in fashion during the period of rebuilding.
Also the Napier is a very sunny place, because it's covered from bad weather with Kaweka Ranges and North island central volcanoes. At a moment when this video was recorded it was raining on most of North Island: in Taupo, in Auckland, in Hamilton.
Gimblett Gravels, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand
In the 1860’s, huge floods dominated New Zealand’s region of Hawkes Bay, turning many rivers into land. After the floods subsided the Ngaruroro River had changed its course and a vista of gravel was left. Made up of red metal, alluvial soils, gravel and stone terraces, these vineyards provide excellent free draining soils while the gravels hold the heat allowing many late ripening grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah to develop complex, powerful flavours while the cool nights allow the fruit to retain fresh, crisp elegance.
