Margaret River is a pretty little town almost half way between Busselton and Augusta. The town has been over commercialised in the past few years and is a haven for yuppie types who have been mainly responsible for the huge increase in prices in the vineyards nearby. Commercial wine making came to the area in 1967 with the establishment of Vasse Felix, but it wasn't until the 1980s when wine became more acceptable in Australia, that the industry really saw a massive increase.

Kalgan River Mulloway
I was down south for the new years weekend and fished the Hay river and then moved onto the Kalgan. With my suprise something big took my soft plastic and lucky enough i had the go pro going!
a few minutes after i was haunted with acouple of bust offs which seemed to be more mulloway but we will never know for sure.. such an awesome feeling bringing this to the kayak. I will be back too the Kalgan to get my revenge and catch and get a photo with one of these amazing fish!
