Here are some comments from the architect:
“I was asked to propose a design that creates a development that not only looks unique but also provides a timeless design, including harnessing the beauty of its existing surroundings, especially the view of nature reserve at the rear which is phenomenal.
My approach to design has always been holistic - the existing site context, nature and environment in terms of its orientation, form, materials and colours are inclusive.
After much discussion with our client in the schematics, it was by far best to proceed with 1+2 unit residential development whereby the front unit is a single double storey house and the rear duo are semi-detached double storey townhouses.
The front house is named “House of Elegance”, the 2 units at the rear are “House of Tranquillity” and “House of Solitude”.
Each unit is named based on its individual design theme and character.
The House of Elegance is a 4 bedroom house with 2 individual courtyards. Its external facade design language and style echo a simple, quiet yet sophisticated character. Every individual bedroom is comfortable in size and has plenty of natural light and ventilation in it. The living, dining and kitchen are generous in size, perfect for any family who has big gatherings. More importantly, given its excellent orientation, the house is naturally lit and heated throughout the year, this could potentially help to save some electric bills.
The House of Tranquillity and Solitude, both located at the most quiet part of the site, are 4 bedroom townhouses with a single rear courtyard that faces north-easterly to harvest the sunlight and heat yearly, regardless of any season. Moreover, the additional access to the nature reserve at the rear courtyard gardens creates unlimited opportunities for families of any size to improvise their lifestyle. Plus, the view of the nature reserve from your living room for both units are “picture perfect”.
At TASQUARE, everything we do stems from 4 core values - simple, smart, sharp and sustainable. I must say that we have produced an architecture that is functional and appealing indeed. We are thankful to our clients who gave us this residential project to work on and we really enjoyed working together till now and we hope the future occupants will get to experience this home masterpiece that is both memorable and timeless.”

Shocking: Student runs into a moving car in Kew East Valerie Street Melbourne
1/3/17 standing on red light, in my rear view mirror I saw something bizarre. Dashcam later detailed a kid coming out running of Windella Ave to Valerie St at 15:37 recklessly runs to cross the road and gets stopped by a car going that came in on fresh green light from behind the corner and accelerated into the empty road. Car not at fault, at under 60 km/h. The kid jumped from behind oncoming traffic where I was, so the car driver had no chance to see him. Poor driver of Mazda was shaken, you can see he pulled over for a moment but KID RAN OFF
