Heatherlie Quarry
Heatherlie Quarry in the Northern Grampians National Park, Victoria, Australia.
Best hidden tourist location in the Grampian’s – Heatherlie Quarry
Without doubt, a wonderful hidden gem. A bush walk with purpose. A bush walk with a destination. A bush walk that includes history. Something far more than just watching where you place your feet.
Heatherlie Quarry is an iconic location that provides visitors with a sense of what made the grandeur of the buildings of old.
After you have watched the video, checkout Ian Seaman’s web site. He has built some most informative web pages that include a very detailed history of the mine.

Grampians - Session 2 with Andy
How to learn slanging in Aussie and, reciprocally, how to learn slanging in French : those two items were our intellectual homework for those 3 days in the National Park of the Grampians. This park is located in the northern part of the Victorian state, not so far from the SA border. Here, in this video, we will wee some 4WD sessions. It does not look as tough as it was actually and that's why I am a bit disappointed. I reckon that some normal SUV could not go through certain track passages.

23.3 Kilometer hike covering almost the entire Mount Difficult Range in the Grampians National Park, Western Victoria, Australia.
We ended up hitting 25 kilometres, as the trail disappears a few kilometres into the route. I wouldn't recommend this hike. I would recommend the Briggs Bluff hike leaving from Beehive Falls. It's safer, well marked and more accessible. Unless you like the thrill of a demanding, steep, long, full day adventure.
Thanks to the adventurous team at Tuxy.
And also the happy adventurers at Honeybear Co!

Seppelt’s Underground Drives/Cellars at Great Western wine region winery near Stawell Ararat
Dark, mysterious and foreboding.
This is how many feel when descending into the labyrinth of the tentacle like reaches of the Great Western underground tunnels called “The Drives”.
They are the largest underground cellars in the Southern Hemisphere.
Not to make people alarmed but, there are more than three kilometres of them complete with dark secrets and much trapped below.
The secrets belong to the many workers who, over the years, have slaved away underground, creating what is trapped in “The Drives”.
What is trapped you may ask. The answer is Wine. Hundreds and thousands of bottles of the stuff.
They are all trapped deep beneath the historic Great Western winery.
Beware: Watching this video may tempt you into going down there, in the attempt of rescuing a few (dozen).
