A first in my life! Conquered Hehuanshan North Peak of Taiwan which is 3422 Meters in altitude. The highest Mountain Ive hiked.
I love nature so much and will continue to do so.
I was fortunate enough to be invited on this hike and met new friends.

Taiwan Trip: Driving down the Hehuan Mountain (合歡山) Part 1
Driving from 青青草原 (The Evergreen Grassland) to 太魯閣 (Taroko Gorge/Tarako National Park) via 武嶺 and 合歡山 (aka Joy Mountain)
We can see deep valley, chain of mountains, mountainous forest and mountains peak. Highway penetrates the mountains through tunnels constructed across mountains. We could even touched the clouds. Great experience!
N.B: 合歡山 (Hehuanshan) is in Central Taiwan and the peak lies on the boundaries of Nantou and Hualien counties and is within the Taroko Gorge National Park. (

Mount Hehuan (Chinese: 合歡山; pinyin: Héhuān Shān; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Ha̍p-hoan-soaⁿ; also called Joy Mountain) is a 3,416-metre-high (11,207 ft) mountain in Central Taiwan. The peak lies on the borders of Nantou and Hualien counties and is located within Taroko National Park. Hehuanshan is a popular destination in central Taiwan. The 3,421-metre east peak and 3,422-metre north peak of Hehuanshan are both higher than the main peak.

Hwy 14A Public： THSR: Take the THSR to Taichung Station and transfer to the bus or train. Taiwan High Speed Rail Bus: From Kuo-kuang Bus Taipei West Station take the bus to Puli, continue by Nantou Bus (torward Cuifeng) to Cuifeng. Train: Take a train to Taichung Railway Station, continue by Nantou Bus(torward Puli) to Puli, and then transfer to Nantou Bus (torward Cuifeng) to Cuifeng.

Part of the journey going up 武岭，合欢山
We were driven up to 武岭，one of the peaks of 合欢山 in Taiwan. It was a 40mins drive from our resort which was somewhere midway down the mountain at about 1200m above sea level.
The journey was one of winding roads plus ups and downs. Stomach toss and turned during the drive, quite uncomfortable. But once you reach the peak, all the discomfort is worth it.

Taiwan's Highest Road (3275 m)
At 3275 meters above the sea level, Hehuanshan is Taiwan's highest automobile pass. The mountainous road is narrow and winding but offers some of the island's most beautiful views.

One of the biggest sheep farm in Taiwan, Cingjing farm is another beautiful place in Ren-ai Township, Nantou County, Taiwan. It is closed to Taichung and Kaoshung. Cingjing farm offer awesome and breathtaking mountain scenery that one should not missed when visiting Taiwan. Very easy to visit there by all mode of Transport. Hehuan Mountain (aka Hehuanshan or Mt. Hehuan) may be the most popular place to see snow in Taiwan, partly due to the fact that it has the highest public road in the country (located at Wuling (武嶺). Most people in Taiwan live at or near sea level in a tropical/subtropical environment that never has snow. However, it does snow in Taiwan at many places with higher elevations, such as Yangmingshan, Jade Mountain, Alishan, Snow Mountain, etc. If temperatures get low enough between December and February, snow is possible to fall wherever the elevation is high enough in Taiwan. However places like Hehuanshan are special because you can drive a vehicle right to the top.
