This Intamin accelerator coaster has the exact same track layout as Rita at Alton Towers. Although Rita is almost seven feet taller (68.9 feet), this one is slightly faster (0-62 mph in 2.4 seconds compared to Rita's 0-61 mph in 2.5 seconds launch) and ranks higher with our members due to the cool helicopter themed operators booth.

Der Heide Park in Soltau eröffnete in der Saison 2014 seine 9. Achterbahn, den Flug der Dämonen. Der erste Wing Coaster in Deutschland wirbelt die Besucher durch fünf Überkopfelemente. Zusätzlich zu der Neuheit stehen im Heide Park die altbewährten Attraktionen, wie z.B. Scream, der höchste Freifallturm Deutschlands, Colossos, eine der größten und besten Holzachterbahnen der Welt und Krake, der erste Dive Coaster in Deutschland.

The Heide Park in Soltau opened its 9th roller coaster, the Flug der Dämonen (Flight of the Demons) in the season of 2014. The first Wing Coaster in Germany spins the visitors through five inversions. In addition to the new ride there are the well-tried attractions, e.g. Scream, Germany's tallest freefall tower, Colossos, one of the biggest and best wooden roller coasters in the world and Krake, the first Dive Coaster in Germany.

Limit is the first SLC (suspended looping coaster) in Germany built by Vekoma. This clip is an off ride compilation and shows the inverted coaster from different angles.

Bobbahn front seat on-ride HD POV Heide Park

This is one of five Mack Rides bobsled coasters currently operating, including the like named one at Europa Park, Trace Du Hourra at Parc Astérix and the Avalanche coasters at Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Kings Dominion. Unlike the three Intamin bobsled coasters (Bob at Efteling, La Vibora at Six Flags Over Texas and Alpine Bobsled at Great Escape) that have single cars, these ones use seven car trains.

Heide Park Day One Vlog May 2019

Join us as we visit Heide Park in Germany for the first time in 5 years to check out all of the changes since we last visited. In this action packed vlog from the first day of our trip, we check out all of the major rides at the park including the new for 2019, Colossos - Kampf der Giganten. Along with that we share a mix of on and off ride footage from various different rides across the park.

In our day one vlog we also share our review from the fantastic sand animation show, capture the delightful atmosphere throughout the different themed areas and much more! This vlog features a wide variety of off ride footage from Colossos, Krake, Flug der Dämonen, Big Loop and many more attractions.

Big Loop front seat on-ride HD POV Heide Park

There are 23 of these Vekoma MK-1200 looping coasters currently operating in parks the world over, but most vary in one way or another. What seperates ths one from others is the long stretch of straight track leading into the first loop and the minimal speed (37 mph) in which it enters the second loop.
Did you know that in 2009 the former seven car trains were replaced by the six car trains taken from the old Corkscrew coaster at Alton Towers?

The Heide-Park Soltau Resort is the biggest amusement park in northern Germany. It attracts with over 40 rides including the tallest, fastest and best wooden roller coaster in europe and the world's tallest gyro-drop-tower. So far, it's my favourite park.

Places to see in ( Soltau - Germany ) Heide Park

The Heide Park Resort is a theme park in Soltau, Lower Saxony, Germany. With an overall area of over 850,000 m², it is the largest amusement park in Northern Germany and among the largest in the country

Soltau is a mid-sized town in the Lüneburg Heath in the district of Heidekreis, in Lower Saxony, Germany.

Soltau is a modest town on the Lüneburg Heath in North Germany that has gained national prominence largely as a result of the attractions such as the Soltau Therme thermal baths and the Heide Park, one of Germany's biggest amusement parks. The large lake of Südsee is also popular with caravanners, campers and day visitors alike.

Alot to see in Soltau - Germany such as :

Böhme Park, (next to the Soltau Therme). This park has the river Böhme running straight through it. There is a lovely café in the park where you can enjoy coffee and cake whilst you take in the scenery.

Breidingsgarten is situated on the outskirts of town and is based along English and has 27 acres. The complex includes moorland just as decorative ponds, orchards and giant rhododendrons, an imposing villa garden as an artificial ruin. Although this garden is in private hands it is often open to the public, timings can be found on their website.

Municipal Mill which is listed building has been around since 1384 and is situated on the river Böhme and was owned by the city until 1817 which is why it was known as the Ratsmühle. The mill was eventually shut down in 1963 and has been empty ever since, however, they wish to turn it into a museum.

Heide Park is the largest theme park in northern Germany with over 50 attractions. This park holds the record for the tallest and fastest wooden roller coaster in Europe complete with a 61° drop. Offers a great day out for all the family.

HeideWitzka is 2,000 square feet of fun for big and small children. With trampolines, go-kart track, climbing the volcano and many more attractions. The indoor bistro offers a delicious variety of food for the all family.

Soltau Therme is fun for all ages from babies through to OAP, there is something for everyone. There are three pools, one for children, salt water and an outside pool. There is plenty of space to relax next to the pools or treat yourself to a massage in the wellness centre. There is an onsite restaurant where you can indulge in a snack. There is plenty of free parking close to the Therme itself.

Colossos - Kampf der Giganten - Heide Park

Colossos - Kampf der Giganten is an Intamin wooden coaster that originally opened at Heide Park in Germany for the 2001 season. In 2016 the ride closed due to heavy maintenance that needed to take place on the track and various other parts of the ride. In April 2019 Heide Park re-opened Colossos and added an extensive back story about the ride along with completing the necessary works on the track.
