Sacraments Processie Leiden
Zoals ieder jaar wordt ook dit jaar in Leiden weer de sacramentsprocessie gehouden dit jaar op zondag 10 juni 2012. De start is om 16.00 uur bij de St. Josephkerk en eindigd na een tocht door de stad bij de Heilige Lodewijkkerk.

Nadat we de klokken van de Petruskerk hadden bezocht, konden we ook nog even langs de Lodwijkskerk. De toren is uiterst krap om te beklimmen. Het eerste gedeelte tot aan de omloop gaat nog, dan heb je een leuk zicht om je heen, maar je staat zeker niet hoog genoeg om veel van Leiden te kunnen zien, dan moet je de Petruskerktoren beklimmen. Echter als je naar de klok wilt moet je door een wirwar van houtconstructies klimmen en door een oerwoud van spinnenwebben kruipen. Je past zelf nauwelijks door het luik waar de klok hangt. Boven in de toren hangt een mini carillon met als grootste klok de luidklok. Deze hangt in het midden, recht boven je als je het luik open doet. Tijdens het filmen stond ik met m'n hoofd in de opening van de luik, want dichterbij kom je niet, zo krap is het. De carillonklokken hangen in een cirkel om de luidklok heen die wel vanaf buiten te zien zijn. De luidklok zelf stelt niet veel voor, een kleine klok die zwaar gekrukt hangt met dus een traag tempo en ook nog eens een stuiterende klepel. Het was wel leuk dat je de klok met een afstandsbediening aan kon zetten. Chardy en Leander waren hier namelijk ook bij en die stonden op de omloop tijdens de opname en konden hem van daaruit bedienen. Al met al toch wel een leuke ervaring :)

The municipality of Leiden had a population of 123,856 in August 2017, but the city forms one densely connected agglomeration with its suburbs Oegstgeest, Leiderdorp, Voorschoten and Zoeterwoude with 206,647 inhabitants.
