Kauai Island known also as the Garden Island. The tiny tropical island. This is one of the three Hawaiian islands that I decided to visit. I spent three days there, drove 315 miles by car and visited, incl. the places described below. My hotel was in the Kapaa area. It is geologically the oldest and northernmost island of the main Hawaiian Islands. Some parts of Kauai are only accessible by sea or air. Island is characterized by its wealth of lush, rich lands, including vast tropical rainforests, jaw-dropping mountains and stunning beaches. Part of Kauai’s unique charm is the fact that the island has remained relatively undeveloped.

Kauai by Helicopter | Hawaii
It takes a bird’s eye view from a helicopter to see what the Hawaiian island of Kauai really looks like and witness the natural breathtaking beauty of the Garden Isle.
Jenna and I had the opportunity to take a helicopter tour of Kauai during our last visit. We lifted off from the Lihue Airport towards Nawiliwili harbor and the Kauai Marriot Resort.
Our first air destination was the tropical Hanapepe Valley which is known for its fantastic rainbows.
Next we saw the 400 ft. high Manawaiopuna Falls made famous in the movie Jurassic Park and entered Olokele Canyon, the gateway to the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, Waimea.
We explored the spectacular and isolated NaPali Coast and saw majestic mountains, cascading waterfalls, secluded beaches and pristine cathedral cliffs.
As our flight continued past the ancient caves and terraces, our pilot and owner of Island Helicopters - Curt Lofstedt - shared great legends of Hawaii and its people.
We also saw Bali Hai and Lumahai Beach made famous in the movie South Pacific and flew to Hanalei Bay & Valley with a view of Princeville Resort.
Finally we flew inside the crater of Mt. Waialeale volcano where waterfalls cascade thousands of feet to the valley below.
Many other fantastic locations were seen on this tour including Wailua Falls seen on the 80's TV show Fantasy Island.
This is a tour you don’t want to miss during your visit to Kauai. In the meantime, enjoy the video we took during our flight. Thank you to Island Helicopters for the amazing experience.
Island Helicopters is one of the oldest helicopter companies in Hawaii, started in 1980. The company is family owned and locally operated. They specialize in very personal tours for the independent traveler, families or groups of any size. They are the only company where the owner, Curt Lofstedt - our pilot -, continues to fly tours.

THE BLUE HAWAIIAN DIFFERENCE There's simply no argument: Blue Hawaiian is Hawaii's #1 helicopter tour company. Blue Hawaiian's aircraft maintenance technicians have received the FAA's coveted Certificate of Excellence, Diamond Award every year since 1998. No other helicopter tour company in Hawaii has ever received this critical recognition. Blue Hawaiian was honored by the FAA for its record 12th straight year in January, 2009, at a ceremony in Honolulu, and the FAA further honored Blue Hawaiian with the very first Certificate of Excellence, Platinum Award. And Blue Hawaiian is the only helicopter tour company in Hawaii certified by the Department of Defense.
Welcome to the Blue Skies of Hawaii. Blue is the only helicopter tour company serving all four major Hawaiian islands: Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island. That means wherever you go in the Islands of Aloha, you know exactly how to get the world's finest aerial tours: just remember the color of the sky.
We don't just operate the best equipment, we help develop it. From the ultra-quiet, spacious, and powerful 21st-century Eco-Star helicopter to the breakthrough Garmin G500H technology, which gives our pilots astonishing three-dimensional synthetic vision terrain awareness in less than optimal weather; from our pioneering of multi-camera in-flight video, to designing vastly improved cockpit air-conditioning—Blue Hawaiian is always at the forefront of leading-edge innovations for your safety, comfort, and enjoyment. Because when it comes to our guests, good enough is never enough.
The finest pilots in the sky. Blue Hawaiian prides itself on hand-picking only the finest and most experienced pilots—the absolute cream of the profession—and every one of them is a State of Hawaii Certified Tour Guide. Blue Hawaiian is also the only helicopter tour company in Hawaii with its own state-of-the-art Flight Simulator, and the only one that puts its pilots through annual factory and FAA recurrent training.

Blue Hawaiian Helicopters - Manawaiopuna waterfalls on island of Kauai
Blue Hawaiian Helicopters
This was the waterfall featured in the movie Jurassic Park. The picture pilot filming aerial sequences for this movie was David Chevalier of Blue Hawaiian Helicopters. After Hurricane Iniki hit the island many aerial shots had to be completed on the island of Maui. Honokohau falls in West Maui was filmed as the plate shot for the falls passing by the window of the helicopter as it descended to land at Manawaiopuna falls on Kauai.

Hawaii and other island very unique charm that discrimination, helicopter tour! Did you like it? It can not be compared with what degree. The best. It really is the best. I heard a helicopter tour of the tourists that best compliments! I just can not pass. Nevertheless, the tourist island of Kauai was the highlight of pleasure, overlooking the island from the sky. Which is why tourism development on the island of Kauai helicopter is called the island of Kauai, this is because the ground is not developing as it can not see the wild yeoseo only 20% of the island. Or Pali Coast is a Hawaiian word meaning cliff. Honolulu, Hawaii Phu Valley is the early indigenous tribes that lived mene hune place. Oh les-valley location is a rugged ravine, called the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. The Waimea Valley more than 100,000 years daehyeopgok created by erosion for many years.

Kauai, Hawaii is near and dear to us. My wife and I visit Kauai on an annual basis. Our best friends live on the island of Kauai, so there's an even greater reason for us to visit as often as we can. My friend, Randon and I were friends in college, throughout college, and started to really connect and remain friends throughout our lifetime. I was his best man in his wedding. He was in my wedding, and now our wives are great friends. And they have supported each other through their pregnancies, and now they are both due to deliver babies in 2016, the end of this year here. We're due in November. They're due in October.
