Hemsedal is a mountain village situated halfway between Oslo and Bergen just one hour from Sognefjorden in Norway. Here you can enjoy a dramatic nature with high waterfalls and magnificent mountains.

Hemsedal Moose Safari
Would you like to visit the king of the forest the moose in its real surroundings?
Join a guided tour with Hemsedal Huskies in a minibus where we see and learn about the moose. We travel out at night at dusk where it is easiest to see them.
The trip takes between 2-3 hours. We aim for short stops and walks during the trip, but there are no long walks in the woods so it suits everyone.
Along the way you'll learn about the largest deer animal we have here in Norway and taste samples of moose meat.
Our local guides are well known and will take you on a pleasant and somewhat exciting excursion. We go in small groups so that you can get a better experience and can ask the questions you have.
The moose is a grand animal living in the forest. There are a lot of moose in Hemsedal and every autumn the moose hunt take place.

Vinteren´s store happening er som i fjor, et actionfylt skiarrangement som foregår i Hemsedal Skisenter med målgang i Hemsedal sentrum. Gå sammen 2 eller 3 pers pr. lag, i dame, herre eller mix-klassen. De to raskeste tidene innad i laget slås sammen, og er gjeldene. Kr. 30.000,- ligger i potten som fordels på de 3 raskeste lagene i de forskjellige klassene. I tillegg blir det opptil flere heftige trekkepremier. Spenn på deg alpin, snowboard eller telemarkskia og bli med på moroa
Arrangementet passer de fleste ferdighetsnivåer, men det kan være en fordel å hatt ski på beina før!

Waterfalls in Hemsedal, Norway
Enjoy our majestic waterfalls in Hemsedal, Norway. We have two big waterfalls called Rjukandefossen and Hydnefossen.
Rjukandefossen is a powerfull double waterfall with 18 meters free fall height situated in Tuv in Hemsedal. It takes about 5 minutes to walk from the parkinglot to the waterfall.
Hydnefossen is a majestic sight when driving in towards Hemsedal from Oslo. With a free fall height of 155 meters and culumative height of 475 meters it's the highest waterfall in the region of Buskerud. You can hike to the top of the waterfall, to the Topp 20 top Veslehodn or just watch it from the valley.
