Henderson Waves Tallest Foot Bridge in Singapore Unique Wavy Bridge
Update! [2018 Video] Walking on Henderson Waves on a Cloudy Day
Walk up to Henderson Waves from Telok Blangah Park on a Busy Labour Day! [2018 Video]
Henderson Waves Tallest Foot Bridge in Singapore Unique Wavy Bridge. At 36 metres above ground, the Henderson Waves bridge is the highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore. Unveiled in 2008, its fantastical shape has lent an unexpected jolt of design savvy to the lush green belt in the south of Singapore. The Henderson Waves bridge is illuminated to stunning effect by LED lighting from 7pm to 2am every night.
True to its name, the bridge mimics the undulating shape of a wave, curving and twisting along its entire 274-metre length. Its form is anchored by steel arches and filled in with curved ‘ribs’ – slats of Balau wood, a dense hardwood used in heavy construction and which is found only in Southeast Asia.
Its shape allows it to have hidden recesses and shell-like niches, where pedestrians can sit and observe their surroundings. Because there’s privacy and room to rest, the bridge is a popular spot on weekends with couples, families with children and joggers.
As dusk falls, visitors still linger to admire the bridge, which is illuminated to stunning effect by LED lighting from 7pm to 2am every night.

Tallest food bridge in Singapore
The best way to explore the bridge is as part of the Southern Ridges Walk, a five-kilometre hiking trail that takes you through three major parks: Kent Ridge Park, Telok Blangah Hill Park and Mount Faber Park. It is the latter two that Henderson Waves connects.
Aside from being able to observe a rich variety of tropical flora and fauna, a walk on the Ridges also affords you some stunning views of the island

Southern Ridges - Henderson Waves Bridge - Forest Walk | Singapore Vlog #2
- Ya Kun Kaya Toast - Bugis Junction 200 Victoria Street (b1-11)
- Bugis MRT Station (mua thẻ Tourist Pass và đi MRT)
- Southern Ridges:
+ Marang Trail
+ Mount Faber Park
+ Henderson Waves Bridge
+ Forest Walk

Hiking at Henderson Waves - Tallest Foot Bridge in Singapore with My Indonesian Friends
In this video, I went hiking with my Indonesian friend to Southern Ridges, that connects Mount Faber Park, Telok Blangah Hill Park, HortPark, Kent Ridge Park and Labrador Nature Reserve.
This is a very good place to go hiking, history buffs, shutterbugs, nature lovers, bird watchers, families looking for a different kind of family outing also to do jogging.
We will skip Kent Ridge Park and Labrador Nature Reserve, we will start from Labrador Park MRT - Canopy Walk – Telok Blangah Hill Park - Handerson wave - Mount Faber Park then finished near the Vivocity to take our lunch.
We also going to pass through Henderson Waves, a structure not to be missed, connects Mount Faber Park to Telok Blangah Hill Park. Standing 36 metres above Henderson Road, it is the highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore and is frequently visited for its artistic, distinctive wave-like structure consisting of a series of undulating curved 'ribs'.
In Mount Faber Park, we can find the little “baby” Merlion. The other Merlion can be found at Sentosa Island and Raffles area near Esplanade.
It is better to start hiking from early morning, to experience fresh air and breezy weather. We arrive at Labrador Park MRT at 8:00am, then finished around 11:00am.
