The Feller Theatre Academy in partnership with Backstage ARTS proudly present an all new performing arts training program at the Henegar Canter. Our ongoing classes, seasonal camps and intensives nurture the talent of aspiring performers and teach them how to grow their singing, dancing, and acting skills. No audition is required to participate. Open to students of all skill levels.

At Fabric Fantasia, a showroom in the garment district on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, fabrics come to life and tell the story of Lady Tattersol, the sinister seamstress of the store, who rules and rates her fabrics according to their worth to her. It is only when the showroom is in danger of being sold that the fabrics take it into their own hands to save the showroom. Each piece contributes to a new fashion design that is uniquely their own. Themes include: Cooperation, overcoming obstacles, bullying, and problem solving
Lori Spencer Gust is a professional teacher and choreographer specializing in jazz, contemporary and musical theater. Lori majored in dance at Florida School of the Arts as a high school student and toured with the school’s performing arts company. She later attended Rollins College earning a BA in English. While at Rollins, Lori choreographed and performed in an original production of Cabaret. Lori is co-owner of The Dance Zone in Melbourne, Florida where she teaches weekly and is the teacher and choreographer for their pre-professional company, Serenade. Lori has had many students excel as professional dancers and actors and many are still working in various companies and touring shows nationwide.
Lori has traveled extensively as a teacher and choreographer. She has worked with many schools and organizations including the University of South Florida Opera Department, Milhopper Montessori School, The Henegar Center for the Arts, and most recently at the St. John School for the Arts in St. John, USVI.
Lori still travels to New York each year to attend dance classes at Steps on Broadway.
Michael Gookin began studying piano at age five in Fairfield, Iowa, where he was born and raised. He has studied with Julie Hanshaw, Betty Mayer, and Dr. Joel Brown (Iowa Wesleyan University). In 2012, he studied with Professor Sean Botkin at the University of Northern Iowa as a Choral Music Education major. While studying with Ms. Mayer, Michael was chosen as the Iowa All-State Band pianist in 2011. In 2012, Michael was selected to be the pianist for Iowa’s only professional musical theatre company, Way Off Broadway, where he accompanied Annie Get Your Gun, Shrek, and Miss Saigon.
At the beginning 2015, Michael performed in Tallinn, Pärnu, and Tartu, Estonia, as accompanist for the University of Northern Iowa’s Concert Chorale. In the fall of 2015, he was chosen as a pianist for the Promising Artists of the 21st Century, an international music program in San Jose, Costa Rica, where he accompanied the UNI Opera program and performed as a soloist. In May of 2016, Michael toured Iceland and Norway as accompanist and soloist for the University of Northern Iowa Varsity Men’s Glee Club. Michael is currently living in Des Moines where he will begin his first year of teaching at West Central Valley Schools in Stuart, Iowa.
Andrea Green is an award-winning composer, playwright, theater director, musician, educator and music therapist. She is internationally known for her Broadway-style musicals performed in theaters and schools fostering inclusion, understanding, acceptance and respect. Her work is the subject of the 2015 Emmy-award winning documentary “On the Other Side of the Fence” and received the United Nations Department of Public Information Bronze Award. Ms. Green was honored in 2012 with a Proclamation from the City of Philadelphia for her musical theater work teaching tolerance. She is published by Samuel French Inc. and the owner and publisher of Andrea Green Music.

Wayne and Nan Kocourek, of Chicago, Illinois recently provided a gift to the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center to support the future of the Sondheim Summer Camp, which is now completing its third year. Mrs. Kocourek, formally of Fairfield, and her husband, made the contribution in memory of her parents, Robert and Evelyn Gamrath, in honor of their many years of service and dedication to Fairfield and to ensure the future of the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center.
The Summer Camp at the Sondheim is now named in honor of Evelyn Gamrath, wife of Bob Gamrath and mother of Bob Gamrath, Jr., Kathyrn Carpenter, Nan Kocourek and Tom Gamrath. Evelyn Gamrath was a long-time junior high choral director, collegiate and church choral director, and had a passion to teach children and instill in them the love of the arts.

Greg Christovich is known industry-wide as one of the leaders in disposition-related skill and experience. Over the past ten years Greg was instrumental in the successful turnaround of the distressed American Golf Corporation, and has personally overseen the disposition of more than three dozen lender workouts for Bank of America, Synovus, Wells Fargo-Lennar Partners, Textron Financial Corporation, and RBC Bank. At American Golf as Vice-President of Operations, Greg assumed turnaround responsibility for seven troubled sub-regions in the company, disposing of over a dozen distressed assets and third-party leases, culminating in the turnaround of the Company's Texas-Oklahoma region, a portfolio doing over $300 million in annual revenues, and ultimately helping facilitate the sale of American Golf to the Goldman Sachs/Starwood investment group in 2003. As Chief Operating Officer of Kitson and Partners Club Services, Greg supervised the successful turnaround and disposition of golf courses in ten states for multiple lenders, including 22 courses foreclosed on by Bank of America from 2003 to 2006. Greg's unmatched client communication skills, along with his ability to provide accurate and timely financial projections have made him one of the most reputable workout specialists in the country.
Greg has over 20 years of experience in Private, Public and resort golf and real estate experience. He is a graduate of The Florida State University Dedman School of Hospitality with a BS in Business Administration.
