Her Majesty's Theatre Redevelopment
A time-lapse video has captured the beginning of the transformation underway at Her Majesty’s Theatre.
Shot over the first four months of work, the film shows the theatre being dismantled from the inside as the seats and stage are removed, the heritage walls to the south and east braced to keep them intact and the adjoining building on Grote Street demolished to make way for the new extension.
The film also shows the painstaking process of dismantling the famous Green Room Signature Wall, featuring names and messages from artists, which will be reinstalled in the new theatre.
The time-lapse, from construction partners Hansen Yuncken, will eventually capture the construction process from start to finish.

The international cast includes a troupe of professional dancers that have performed with Legends in Concert, We Will Rock You, The King & I, Cirque Adrenalin and The Singing Bee.
