Herald Park & Margaret Falls 2015
Just 14 kilometres from the Trans Canada Highway along the western shore of the Salmon Arm of Shuswap Lake, Herald Provincial Park is a great spot to use as a base camp for visiting the many attractions of the Shuswap area. The park covers 79 hectares of beautiful beach and forested uplands, and boasts a 119-site campground, boat launch and large day-use area. While in the area a must see is the self-guided nature walk to Margaret Falls. The trail leading to Margaret Falls passes through a rock chasm that feels like an enchanted forest. The unique and sensitive ecosystem of flowers, trees and shrubs are part of the park's natural heritage. The water from Reinecker Creek cascades down a sheer rock face creating a natural shower. If you look carefully you may be able to see the hidden cave in the rock directly behind the falls.

Tom Thomson Ghost Canoe Lake 2010 HD NiteVision 720PSI
A evening tribute to Tom Thomson at his grave site July 08 2010 the anniversary of his untimely death. I had been on CBC radiio July 3 2010 FreshAir Program concerning a new and unique summer experience...boy did I get lucky on this one. A group of sincere Algonquin Park summer workers start to paddle Canoe Lake at 10pm on a calm warm summer nite. A nite time trek up the hill to the grave site and readings of Winnie Trainor and other memoirs of the event dated 1917. I was very lucky to find out about this annual event just days before and the weather was amazing...30c at Midnite, the Sun Set. 10 minutes after I got off the lake 1am it started to rain......thanks Tom.
