Photosynthesis | #aumsum
Photosynthesis.
Do you know how plants make their own food?
Plants prepare their own food by a process called photosynthesis.
Photo is the Greek word for light and synthesis is the Greek word for putting together.
Plants need sunlight, carbon dioxide from air and water from soil to prepare their own food.
Photosynthesis takes place in the leaves of a plant.
Leaves have tiny pores called stomata through which carbon dioxide enters the plant.
Plant cells contains tiny structures called chloroplasts that contain chlorophyll.
Carbon dioxide and water, in the presence of sunlight and chlorophyll get converted into glucose and oxygen.
Oxygen then leaves the plant through the stomata.
Glucose gives nourishment to the plant.
The extra glucose produced is stored by the plant in the form of starch for later use.
Photosynthesis is the process by which plants prepare their own food using carbon dioxide and water in the presence of sunlight.

How important is exercise for diabetes?
The American Diabetes Association (ADA) recommends 30 minutes of moderate activity most days of the week. If you have trouble fitting in 30 minutes of exercise at a time, consider breaking it up into 10-minute segments. It's best to spread your activity out over at least 3 days during the week and try not to go more than 2 days in a row without exercising. Remember: moderate intensity means that you are working hard enough that you can talk, but not sing, during the activity. Vigorous-intensity means you cannot say more than a few words without pausing for a breath during the activity.
If you haven't been very active recently, start out with 5 or 10 minutes a day. Then, increase your activity sessions by a few minutes each week. Over time, you'll see your fitness improve, and you'll find that you're able to do more. Getting started with Diabetes exercises at home.
If you are just starting out, this free diabetes exercises at home video routine is a great place to begin. You don't even need to leave the comfort of your own home!
Make sure to get your doctor's permission before starting with these diabetes exercises at home. Let them know that you want to do these diabetes exercises at home, they can make sure you're ready for it. If you're new to working out, start slowly.
Check your blood sugar before, during, and after exercise — especially if you’re trying something new — to determine how it impacts your blood sugar levels. And keep a snack nearby in case your blood sugar drops.
Consistency is the KEY to seeing benefits from your diabetes exercises. Try to do this 10-minute video on most days of the week. You can add additional fitness into your day (like strength training and walking!) as you build endurance and health. The key to sticking to your diabetes exercises is to make your workouts fun, appealing, and easy to start. All you have to do is press play to get moving and see results!
I hope this diabetes exercises video helps you manage your diabetes and live well.

Jerusalem's BEST Street Food Guide - PALESTINIAN HUMMUS NINJA + HUGE Old Jerusalem Street Food Tour!
BEST Jerusalem STREET FOOD Tour 2019 - Palestinian Food
Become a member for exclusive bloopers & private livestream:
Patreon Membership (SAME PERKS):
Welcome to another episode of Chopstick Travel. Today we take you on the ultimate street food tour through the Holy city of Old Jerusalem, within the city walls only. Old Jerusalem is an ancient area, and is packed with street foods, teas & coffee, fresh produce, historic and religious relics and endless sightseeing opportunities.
We take you to eat some delicious Palestinian food all around the city, starting with the simple Za’atar bread. Next we locate some spiced lamb kebabs, cooked fresh over fire. And to wash down the kebabs, a delicious & cheap hummus! We then find a bizarre yellow sweet, called date bread, as a dessert. After, we head to a famous Palestinian spice shop, where you tell them exactly what you’re going to cook, and they create the perfect spice blend for you. We picked up local spices - za’atar and sumac, as well as a special spice concoction. Next, we take a short break with some street side Arabic coffee, spiced with cardamon. We decide to do some sightseeing to digest some food. Our first sight was a short stop to the Western Wall. Then we visit an ancient sweet shop, over 150 years old for mutabak. We then visit the next sight - the Dome of the Rock, and then the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. To end our insane day of eating street food inside the old city, we pick up a pomegranate/orange juice, freshly pressed, and head to a small shop selling kanefe.
All shops, restaurants and sights are located within the city walls. There aren’t addresses, but using Google Maps, you can type in the name of the shop and it will give you an approximate location. A better option, ask shop owners inside the Old City. They give great directions. Here are the names of the shops/approximate locations:
- Za’atar bread - NEAR DAMASCUS GATE ENTRANCE
- Lamb kebabs - ON SHUK HA-TSORFIM ST. (also near Shaheen Kebab)
- Hummus - ARAFAT HUMMUS
- Date bread - NEXT TO ARAFAT HUMMUS
- Spices - SEA OF HERBS JERUSALEM
- Arabic Coffee - can be found all around the Old City
- Sight #1 - THE WESTERN WALL
- Mutabak - ZALATIMO SWEETS (we had to ask a shop owner for directions)
- Sight #2 - DOME OF THE ROCK
- Sight #3 - CHURCH OF THE HOLY SEPULCHRE
- Pomegranate & Orange Juice - NEAR THE AUSTRIAN HOSPICE
- Kanefe & tea - CONFECTIONERY JAFAR

LONG LIFE FOOD in Hunza Valley - HEAVEN ON EARTH, Pakistan | Pakistani Food Tour!
SUBSCRIBE for 2 new videos every week
T-shirts and caps:
Thank you to Ali (Pakistan Travel Market):
I want to say a massive thank you to Ali (Pakistan Travel Market): Without him, this entire trip wouldn’t have been possible.
Also, thank you to Hunza Serena Inn ( for sponsoring our stay in Hunza Valley.
The goal of today’s food tour was to uncover some of the secrets of the long life food of Hunza Valley. Especially traditionally, people were known to live very long and healthy lives - a combination of eating seasonally, lots of nuts, and apricots, and fresh mountain air - we also discovered a few dishes that must have led to long life.
But we began our day in Gilgit, and first thing at daybreak, we drove about 20 minutes outside of Gilgit to start our morning from a strategic viewpoint. There’s a confluence where three of the highest mountain ranges in the world - Himalayas (Mount Everest), Karakorams (K2), and Hindu Kush, mountains come together. It’s a magical place, and we were literally the only people there.
We then headed back to Serena Gilgit Hotel for breakfast before starting our day to Hunza Valley. The drive was spectacular from start to finish - you will literally feel your jaw dropping as you drive and you almost cannot believe the scenery will possibly get better… and it does.
Chapshoro Point - Along the Karakoram Highway from Gilgit to Hunza Valley one of the most famous foods is chapshoro, a meat filled dough pocket. It’s a great tea snack - and we’d be having a few more of these today.
Total price - 900 PKR ($6.74)
Hunza Valley - We arrived to Hunza Valley and immediately checked in to Hunza Serena Inn, with an almost unbelievable view from our patio.
Baltit Fort - We quickly hiked up to Baltit Fort, a spectacular and iconic fort within Hunza Valley and then walked down for a quick bite to eat.
Hunza Food Pavilion - Just a small little cosy restaurant, yet so inviting and so many good aromas coming out of the kitchen. We ordered chapshoro again, and daodo soup, both of which were amazing.
Total price - 630 PKR ($4.72)
Osho Maraka - Hunza Serena Inn - We then headed back to the hotel where they wanted to prepare a local Hunza Valley food lunch for us. The food was good, a little on the plain side for me, but very fresh and local ingredients.
Eagles Nest - Next we drove up one of the main mountains of Hunza Valley for the view. Although we were late for the sunset, the view was still spectacular.
Traditional Hunza Valley food - In the evening is when the real authentic Hunza Valley food and cultural learning began. We were invited (thanks to the Gilgit Baltistan tourism ministry for setting it up) to a 400 year old home for a time of music and local Hunza Valley food. The old home was beautiful, and they immediately started playing amazing local music. The food was authentic and local - lots of whole grains, walnuts and almonds, and plenty of apricot oil. One of the dishes, a tortilla like bread filled with walnut paste and apricot oil was one of the secret dishes of longevity - so I was told! Whatever the case, the food, people, and experience, was outstanding.
By this time I have to stay I was tired, cold, and ready to go back to the hotel to sleep, but they said, we need to stop at one more place.
It was completely dark, and looked abandoned.
But we stepped inside a home, and there were at least 20 people huddled in the house, waiting for us.
I was blown away and humbled.
They made us tea and a few local pancake like snacks. It was beyond special.
Thank you to everyone involved, and to the families for their amazing hospitality and kindness. Another absolutely incredible day of food and people in Pakistan.

Eating PIG FISH + HUMMUS with Fishermen in Ancient Tyre! | Amazing Mediterranean Food!

TYRE, LEBANON - Tyre is an ancient coastal city of Lebanon, that dates back to 2750 BC as a Phoenician City. It’s a fishing city, and so we set out to go on a fishing experience and eat local fish and hummus with a fisherman. Even though our catch was small, it was a hugely learning experience. #Lebanon #Tyre #fishing
Thank you to USAID - My visit to Lebanon was supported by the USAID Lebanon Enterprise Development Project. Thanks to Ibrahim Osta (Director Middle East & North Africa, Chemonics International):

Thank you to Maya

Mahfouz Sandwich Shop - The day before going fishing, we met up with the fisherman and ate some sandwiches at the legendary Mahfouz sandwich stop. Some people drive all the way from Beirut just to eat these sandwiches. The meat combinations and sweet pepper is what made them so good to me.
Fishing in Tyre - We woke up about 4 am and set off to go fishing. The fishermen had already been out for a while in the night, and they had a small catch. We set off, and cast the nets a few times, but didn’t have much luck. We did catch a few small fish, but nothing much. Captain said it was the slow part of the season, so fishing wasn’t very good.
So we ended up buying a bigger fish from the market, though still local fish from the Mediterranean Sea. We bought a pigfish, which we brought to the bakery to bake.
Baroud Restaurant - As the fish was baking we walked over to Baroud restaurant to order some hummus as Captain said he always eats hummus with fish. We also had to quickly try their ful, which was excellent. I still think the best ful though is in Saida.
After the fish was finished baking, we brought the fish and the hummus to the local fisherman canteen at the port, and feasted. The fish was incredible, so flaky and firm, and I think it was my first time to ever really eat fish and hummus as the main combination of the meal - and it works so well!
A breathtaking experience, and just a slight glimpse into the life of a fisher life in Tyre, Lebanon.

Street Food Malaysia - NASI KERABU + Malay Food Tour in Kelantan, Malaysia!
Watch more Malaysian food videos:
Subscribe for 2 new videos every week
T-shirts and caps:
KELANTAN, MALAYSIA - If you’re looking for amazing Malaysian food, Kelantan is a state that’s unique, cultural, and has some of the best food in Malaysia.
During trips to Kuala Lumpur over the years, I had tried a number of Kelantanese dishes, but that only increased my desire to eventually visit the source, to visit Kelantan, Malaysia. Finally, this was our chance, and we went on a Malaysian food tour of Kelantan, around Kota Bharu.
Here’s all the amazing food we ate in this video:
Nasi Kerabu Panji - Without a doubt, one of the Malaysian foods you don’t want to miss when you visit Kelantan is nasi kerabu, rice salad, but it’s so much more than that. It’s a breakfast dish and we first started at Nasi Kerabu Panji, a local favorite spot. You get blue rice, topped with salad and side dishes, drizzled in budu fermented fish sauce, and topped with you choice of main mean. It was extraordinary.
Price - About 8 MYR ($1.96) per plate
Jijah's Nasi Kerabu - Since nasi kerabu is one of the top Malaysian foods of the state of Kelantan, we decided to have two nasi kerabu’s back to back, but totally different styles and even different colors of rice. Jijah's Nasi Kerabu specializes in grilled goat, and it was incredible, highly recommended when you visit Kelantan, Malaysia.
Price - 4.50 MYR ($1.10) per plate
Siti Khadijah Market - One of the top attractions in Kota Bharu is Siti Khadijah Market, a beautiful colorful market where you can buy all the ingredients from Kelantan and there’s also an amazing cooked food section. Laksam - 3.50 MYR ($0.86) per bowl - I had a bowl of laksam, a Kelantan Malaysian food version of laksa. Akok - 1 MYR ($0.24) for 2 - Later we also tried akok, a popular and local Kelantanese dessert.
D'Umi Nasi Ulam - Another Malaysian food you don’t want to miss eating in Kelantan is nasi ulam, rice with raw vegetables, and a mix of dishes, all eaten specifically with budu - fermented anchovy sauce. This restaurant was amazing, a huge mix of dishes, friendly owner, and delicious food. Of course, we couldn’t resist the tempoyak - fermented durian paste.
Kak Jah Ayam Percik Bulatan Lemal - Finally to end this Malaysian street food tour of Kelantan, we had some ayam percik, a coconut milk barbecue sauce dish that originates in Kelantan. We barely arrived in time, but luckily got the last few skewers.
Ayam percik - 16 MYR ($3.93) per big skewer
Kelantan is an amazing state in Malaysia to eat Malaysian street food and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit, the incredible food, and friendly people.
Thank you for watching this Malaysian food video in Kelantan. If you haven’t already, you can watch the entire series here:

Suicide Forest in Japan (Full Documentary)
The Aokigahara Forest is the most popular site for suicides in Japan. After the novel Kuroi Jukai was published, in which a young lover commits suicide in the forest, people started taking their own lives there at a rate of 50 to 100 deaths a year.
The site holds so many bodies that the Yakuza pays homeless people to sneak into the forest and rob the corpses. The authorities sweep for bodies only on an annual basis, as the forest sits at the base of Mt. Fuji and is too dense to patrol more frequently.

Chinese INDIAN Street Food BREAKFAST Tour at Territy Bazaar | Kolkata, India
When I first traveled to India in February of 2018, I fell in love with so many things about the country, especially its street food. When I went back to the country ten months later in November, I knew street food was going to be a big part of my second Indian experience and I have to say, it did not disappoint! And eating all of the street food right by my side was my good friend and travel buddy Sam from Samuel & Audrey!
Subscribe to Samuel & Audrey:
There is a sizeable Chinese population in the city of Kolkata, so there are a lot of Chinese influences in some of the food here. The city is actually the birthplace of Indo-Chinese cuisine, and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on some. We began our second day in the city with an Indian and Chinese breakfast street food tour at Territy Bazaar, which also sells vegetables, fruit, clothing, flowers, freshly caught fish, and more. Come along with us as we stuff ourselves with some amazing Indo-Chinese food!
My Film Making Kit ►
At the very first stall, I started off with a red meat bao, steamed chicken momos, fish momos, fried chicken momos, and fish balls. The red meat bao was super thick and fluffy and was served with a spicy red sauce. The filling inside was juicy and creamy and the bun itself had a distinct Chinese flavor.
Next was the chicken momo, which was amazing, like a wonton or a dumpling. The fish momo was very salty and had a lot of fish flavor, and was fantastic!
The fried chicken momo was next. It was super crunchy, but I could barely taste the chicken inside. Next, I went with a pork spring roll. Even though it was fried, it was still soft and spongy on the outside and had some nice minced pork, onions, and spices inside. Sam and I both loved it!
After a selfie with some fans, I dove into the fish ball & pork ball soup, which had a tasty herbal broth. The fish was salty and flavorful, and the pork contained chunks of meat and had a nice texture. The spices gave the soup a distinct flavor that wasn’t Indian at all. It was like a more authentic version of Americanized wonton soup. I finished up the last two balls with some really spicy hot sauce.
After a ton of eating, we were already stuffed, so we took a walk around the market to get our appetites back. There were a lot of people there, including vendors selling flowers, live chickens and ducks, butchered poultry, and a guy who was gutting fish so fresh that they were still gasping for air. There were also some very friendly stray dogs!
One of the best things to drink in India is fresh sugarcane juice, so I jumped at the chance to have some when I spotted a vendor selling it as fresh as it comes! It was so refreshing and naturally sweet. We finished off our breakfast street food tour with some delicious, piping hot chai.
All in all, the food was great and the market itself was one of the most colorful and most eccentric I’ve ever visited. There was so much activity going on around us and you have to watch out for cars and rickshaws moving through the busy streets.
I hope you enjoyed our visit to Territy Bazaar in Kolkata! If you did, please give it a thumbs up and leave me a comment below. Also, please subscribe to my channel and click the notification bell so you don’t miss any of my upcoming food and travel content!

BREAKFAST Tour Singapore: Bak Chor Mee + Delicious Pork Intestine + Bak Kut Teh
All about breakfast today! One of my favorite meals, so why not just eat it as many times as I can in a day?
First up was some Bak Chor Mee, I really feel like this is an iconic Singaporean dish because as I think about it, this is really the only place I have seen this dish. Definitley, can see why it is so popular. Lots of pork on pork, some seafood, vinegar, nice noodles, and an unreal pork broth.
Next, I went to an un-Singaporean, Singaporean breakfast spot. This place is really known for their supper thick, backed in house bread. The bread was phenomenal, but it was just that, bread, not toast. Everything else was pretty good and the benefit of the thick bread is it really soaks up those eggs!
Well, if this just wasn’t one of my favorite meals in Singapore, Kway Chap! Yes, this place was a little more pricey than others, but I will pay any price for those gorgeous braised pig intestines! One of my favorite treats when done correctly! And this place is doing them well! Also cannot forget about all the other goodies I got.
Last up, Bah Kut Teh. I must say I really enjoyed this “spicy” Singaporean version. And while this meal overall was more expensive it really felt like a treat and a gift from the gods when I got that free refill of the broth!!!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just a guy from Arkansas chasing his dreams of traveling the world, meeting amazing people, and trying all the delicious food I can find!
Recently finished working in Hong Kong. I am from a small farm in the states, I am now taking advantage and the opportunities I have to travel the world in search of some of the most delicious foods, unique places, and friendliest people.
A lover of street food, good laughs, and learning about other cultures. I hope to indulge in all these things and more as I bring you along with me on my epic journeys.

Vaishnavi (Trisha) is a very popular YouTube chef living in India. Her friend Ambujam's (Gayatri Rema) fiancé Cotton (Yogi Babu) are stuck in a situation that demands him to go to London to work as a chef, but he is unqualified. He asks Vaishnavi to accompany him to pose as an assistant and help him secure the job so that he can be financially stable. Vaishnavi agrees and travels to London with Cotton and a relative Balki (Swaminathan). They stay with their friends Ganesh (Ganeshkar) and his wife Madhu (Jangiri Madhumitha) and work as chefs at the restaurant. Vaishnavi meets Rohit (Jackky Bhagnani) there, and they fall in love.
One day, on a boating trip in a river, Vaishnavi accidentally injures herself and washes off her blood in the water. This triggers the vengeful spirit of a dead woman at the bottom of the river. She possesses Vaishnavi, who goes on a killing spree. Her friends experience numerous paranormal occurrences soon after and consult with a priest to find that Vaishnavi is possessed. The spirit turns out to be Mohini (Trisha), a lookalike of Vaishnavi. Meanwhile, Rohit proposes to Vaishnavi, and they get engaged in the presence of his family. They meet Rohit's mother Menaka (Poornima Bhagyaraj) and his estranged father Vicky/KVR (Mukesh Tiwari). Mohini is enraged upon seeing him, and this reminds her of why she was killed.
Mohini was an architect working for a construction company owned by KVR. She finds out about the child sacrifice rituals that KVR believes in and goes on to rescue children from a child trafficking gang. KVR and the gang are arrested, but they get released because of KVR's political influence. KVR and his men then capture Mohini, kill her, and throw her body into the river. Now that she has found a doppelgänger in Vaishnavi, Mohini is back for revenge. She goes after KVR and kills him, but not before telling that all of his generation will be killed by her, and that includes Rohit. Menaka comes to know of this and tries to protect Rohit from Mohini with the help of a Buddhist monk (Suresh). She also contacts Mohini's mother, who agrees to help with the rituals that they are performing. The monk tells that in addition to the rituals, either Vaishnavi's body must be destroyed or a human sacrifice has to be done to appease Mohini. They all prevent Mohini from attacking Rohit and try to save Vaishnavi from dying in the process. Mohini's mother finds that because of her daughter's vengeance, two innocent lives (Rohit and Vaishnavi) will be lost. She realises that Mohini's spirit needs just one human life in order to be satisfied, so she kills herself and offers as a sacrifice to Mohini. Mohini's spirit is finally at peace and leaves Vaishnavi and Rohit alone.

Kings of Cannabis (Full Length Documentary)
Watch our new Weed Travel show, Blunt Reviews:
Check out other videos from Weediquette here:
You might not know who Arjan Roskam is, but you've probably smoked his weed. Arjan's been breeding some of the most famous marijuana strains in the world—like White Widow, Super Silver Haze, and many others—for over 20 years.
In 1992 he opened his first coffee shop in Amsterdam and has since crafted his marijuana-breeding skills into a market-savvy empire known as Green House Seed Company, which rakes in millions of dollars a year.
He's won 38 Cannabis Cups and has dubbed himself the King of Cannabis.
VICE joins Arjan and his crew of strain hunters in Colombia to look for three of the country's rarest types of weed, strains that have remained genetically pure for decades. In grower's terms, these are called landraces. We trudge up mountains and crisscross military checkpoints in the country's still-violent south, and then head north to the breathtaking Caribbean coast. As the dominoes of criminalization fall throughout the world, Arjan is positioned to be at the forefront of the legitimate international seed trade.
