Australian Trains: SSR Charter on the VGR. 30th November 2019.
For the First time in the history of the Victorian Goldfields Railway a private operator ran a special charter from Castlemaine and return using their own locomotives. Southern Shorthaul Railroad (SSR) used T385-T386 to initally haul dead locomotives Y142-Y147-Y157 from Bendigo to Castlemaine. Following this the pair of T-class then attached to a rake of VGR carriages for a trip along the branch to Maldon (thus becoming the First T-class under power on the branch since 2004). At Maldon they ran around thir train and steam locomotive J549 was added for the return to Castlemaine. This video focuses on this return working with the train captured at Maldon and other locations. The return working of the cars to Maldon departing Castlemaine with J549-Y133 is also included.
Details on the Victorian Goldfields Railway can be found at:

Melbourne Tram in San Fracisco
This Melbourne tram trundles around San Francisco fairly regularly as part of the SF MUNI Heritage Fleet. Here you see it coming off the loop and heading out along Embarcadero past the Ferry Building.
