Fire in a UK house Killed a Young Uni Student. Fire Brigade Ambulance
Astonishing Fire in a UK house. Fire Brigade Ambulance

Advice for Phone and Laptop users.
UK Fire Incident.
Our friends lost their 25 year old son in a fire at home.
Their son who had graduated with MBA two weeks earlier, had come home for a while.
He had lunch with his dad at home and decided to go and have a nap in his room.
His father suggested he stayed a few days to spend some time with his mother before going back.
He decided to take a nap while waiting for his mom to come home from work.
Some time later, their neighbors called 999 when they saw black smoke coming out of the house.
Unfortunately, the 25 years old died instantly in the three year old house.
It took several days of thorough investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
Investigation concluded that the fire was caused by a laptop resting on their son's bed.
The cooling fan could not receive air to cool the device...and that caused the fire.
He did not even have the opportunity to attempt to get out of the bed...as he died inhaling the carbon monoxide emitting out of the burning laptop.
I am sharing this to all of you because I have seen many of us; parents, friends and family, brothers and sisters, sons & daughters, especially teenagers using electronic devices while in bed.
Charging our phones, tablets and laptops whilst in bed is rather dangerous.
Let us make it a practice not to leave our devices on our beds, as the risk is real and high.
Let us make it a rule not to use phones, tablets, laptops and all electronic devices on our beds, as it's easy to fall asleep while doing that.
Please educate as many people as possible.
Life is precious...this simple precaution may save lives.
PLEASE, SHARE!!!

WATFORD TOWN IN THE 1920s
We are fortunate to have as part of our local history this unique piece of film taken of Watford town centre in Hertfordshire, England.
It starts with Watford high street, then moves onto the local Benskins brewery. The final scenes show the Peace Hospice and a visit by Edward VIII. We believe the date is around 1924.
It was transferred for a local museum as part of a larger consignment of film material covering over fifty years of local history.
These are some examples of customers cine to DVD transfers we have chosen to show on YouTube with their permission.
We are Bluprint Cine Transfers and if you are looking for a more convenient way of viewing your cine films, we offer a number of services and options.

charity
This is a charity video I made to be shown at a chairty fundraiser in Hertfordshire, Watford to be viewed by about 80 guests.
I filmed at Watford General Hospital in the children's ward (Starfish ward), the nurses and doctors I met were all very lovely but some of them shy to be on camera.
I filmed over the course of two days, editing took a considerable amount longer, as there were discussions about which audio to use, and which clips should go where along with the writing.
There was a lot of footage taken ranging from interviews, to cute siblings giving each other hugs and kisses to the cute little girl popping the bubbles that the selection progress became overwhelming with so much to fit in.
I made a general guideline of what the video may turn out like to show the client and was then asked to edit round their house. I sat in the middle of the living room on a little desk with a HDMI cable plugged into the TV from my laptop to give a better view for the two viewers/assistant editors.
After which, the video was even more to their liking, but with many more improvements to be made, I edited and uploaded it to YouTube about 3-4 more times which took some time for a 7 minute video.
The video was then shown at the fundraiser ball and came a few hours early to help sort out a technical problem with the projector and fixed it within a few minutes.
Here is the recommendation I received back
Charlie is extremely professional. He has the ability to steer a project whilst encompassing all requirements. Charlie has endless amounts of patience and is a perfectionist in the quality of his work. He is an absolute pleasure to work with and would I thoroughly recommend him.
WTF A17 fire engine
A17 in Norfolk this afternoon, i'd been following a fire engine for a while. I noticed the engine's brake lights come on, its a straight bit of road so I knew something was up. You guessed it, a twat in a Merc overtaking towards it. You can see the Merc pull in at last moment.
Fontmell Close sinkhole, St Albans
Update: Friday 02 October
Overnight on Wednesday 30 September, a large sinkhole opened up in Fontmell Close, a cul de sac in St Albans.
Hertfordshire County Council’s Resilience Team and Fire and Rescue Service have been working with Hertfordshire Constabulary and St Albans City and District Council.
Richard Thake, Cabinet Member for Community Safety, said: “Following advice from Hertfordshire County Council’s geotechnical experts, engineers will start filling the sinkhole with foamed concrete today. At this time we cannot say exactly how long this will take, but it is likely to take several days. All agencies are working together to get residents back to their homes as soon as it is safe to do so.”
An emergency access road was created for residents to get their cars out via a playing field behind the site.
The reception centre at nearby Batchwood Sports Centre closed at 9pm last night and reopened at 6am this morning (Friday). Yesterday, 34 people attended the centre. This morning a couple of people visited for a shower.
We understand that some residents stayed in local hotels overnight, while some remained at home. Other residents are staying with friends and family or their insurance companies have made arrangements for them.
We will be updating our websites during the day and you can get updates via @hertscc and @StAlbansCouncil.

Four die as storm hits southern UK
Four people have died after a storm battered southern Britain, leading to 600,000 homes losing power, rail and flight cancellations.
A teenager in Kent and a man in Watford were killed by falling trees.
A man and a woman died in west London after a falling tree caused a suspected gas explosion and house collapse.
Network Rail said the damage to railway lines had been worse than expected, with more than 100 trees on the lines, but some train services had resumed.
The strongest gust of 99mph (159km/h) was recorded on the Isle of Wight.
BBC forecasters say the storm has now ended in the UK - leaving a broadly windy day.
Ch Supt Steve Corbishly from Kent Police said: She was in a static home adjoining the house she lives in with her family. Tragically, she did die at the scene. It's not being treated as suspicious but we're working with Fire and Rescue to determine the exact cause.
A man in his 50s was pronounced dead at the scene after a tree crushed a red Peugeot 307 at Lower High Street in Watford, Hertfordshire, at 6:50 GMT.
Mark Joseph, who was passing by before the emergency services arrived, said: We tried to assist, trying to get the tree off, but it was impossible... The poor chap didn't stand a chance.
The Environment Agency had dozens of flood warnings in place - in areas of south-west England, East Anglia and the Midlands where flooding was expected, but the number is now down to four. There are also more than 100 flood alerts, where flooding is possible, across England and Wales.
It says there is an increased risk of flooding from rivers following the heavy rainfall, and large waves and strong winds may continue to cause some minor coastal flooding along the south coast.
The Energy Networks Association, which represents power companies across the UK, confirmed 200,500 homes were still without power.
A spokesman said 407,000 households which lost power earlier had been reconnected, but more had been cut off as the storm moved north and eastwards.
Network Rail said several hundred staff have been working to monitor conditions and react to any damage.
Robin Gisby, Network Rail's managing director of network operations, said: While conditions were as forecast during the early part of the morning, the damage caused by the storm has been more severe than expected as it has tracked eastwards to the north of London and across to East Anglia.
Anthony Smith, chief executive of rail customer watchdog Passenger Focus, said it was too early to tell if the industry made the right call when cancelling so many services, but the fact that major incidents have been avoided is good news.
Prime Minister David Cameron said the deaths caused by the storm were hugely regrettable.
Asked whether train companies had over-reacted, he said: These are difficult things to handle because you don't know for certain just how strong the storm will be.
