Heydar Aliyev Palace (Azeri: Heydər Əliyev Adına Saray, also known as Baku Palace, formerly Republic Palace (Respublika Sarayı) and during the Soviet era known as Lenin Palace (Лeнин aдынa) is the main music venue of Baku, Azerbaijan, seating 2158 people. The palace was renamed after the death of Azerbaijani President Heydar Aliyev in 2003. Alish Lemberanskiy was the designer and main visioner of the palace.
The venue reopened in November 2008 after extensive renovation. It was considered as possible location for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012, but the venue was later confirmed as the Baku Crystal Hall, a brand new arena and concert facility, purpose built in 2012.

The Heydar Aliyev Center is a 57,500 m2 (619,000 sq ft) building complex in Baku, Azerbaijan designed by Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid and noted for its distinctive architecture and flowing, curved style that eschews sharp angles.The center is named after Heydar Aliyev, the first secretary of Soviet Azerbaijan from 1969 to 1982, and president of Azerbaijan Republic from October 1993 to October 2003.
In 2007, Zaha Hadid was appointed as the design architect of the Center after a competition. The Center houses a conference hall (auditorium), a gallery hall and a museum. The project is intended to play an integral role in the intellectual life of the city. Located close to the city center, the site plays a pivotal role in the redevelopment of Baku.

This beautiful park is situated not too far from the Heydar Aliyev Center. It's nice, but something too special. There are a bunch of huge hearts that you can take pictures with, or cross the bridge to the other side where you'll find more grass, trees and playgrounds for the kids. Good way to pass some time in a pleasant environment, and for the kids to expend a bit of energy.
If you have a lovable heart....you must visit here...
HEYDAR ALIYEV Park and City museum, Mingachevir, Azerbaijan
The new park, with origins from the Soviet era, inserts a new major access axis at the entrance of the city.
The existing museum facade is remade to create a focal point of the long perspective, through a gigantic porch which shadow gathers the opposite square. A monumental fountain resolves the height difference across the square, having one part on the level on the street, and one part on the pedestrian level.
Like the new facade, also the covered area with the public space is painted with sunshine and shadows. A system of perforated metal plate reproduces the traditional motifs of Azerbaijan rugs, changing the space as the day passes.

The Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center is a cultural complex currently being constructed in Baku, Azerbaijan. The complex is designed by renowned Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid and will include a 21,000sq m conference hall rising to a height of 22m, a museum, library and sculpted parkland.
