Chinese boy discovers dinosaur eggs on river bank in China's Heyuan
A 9-year-old boy named Zhang Yangzhe discovered fossilized dinosaur eggs dating back to the late Cretaceous Period (66 million years ago) in southern China. The video, filmed in Heyuan City, Guangdong Province, on July 23, shows a man from the local dinosaur museum uncovering 11 dinosaur egg fossils around the one spotted by Zhang. According to reports, Zhang and his mom went to play near Dongjiang Bridge, and when he was about to take a picture with the bridge, he found an eggshell. Since Zhang had just visited the dinosaur museum and saw various dinosaur egg fossils, he spotted the dinosaur eggshell and informed the local museum.

Beijing: A total of 231 fossilised dinosaur eggs and skeletal remains were seized from a house in China's Guangdong province, authorities said on Thursday.
Police raided the house in Heyuan city on July 29 and seized the eggs, which date back to the Cretaceous period.
The skeleton was later identified as a Psittacosaurus, Xinhua news agency reported.
Heyuan was known as the hometown of the dinosaur in China, with many fossilised eggs discovered over the decades. The city's museum has set a Guinness record for having collected more than 10,000 dinosaur eggs.
Chinese laws place fossilised creatures under state ownership and ban any trade or possession of them except by specialised institutions and professionals.
