Places to see in ( Sardinia - Italy ) S'archittu
Places to see in ( Sardinia - Italy ) S'archittu
Celebrated by futurist poet Giovanni Corona and by writer Flavio Soriga, s’Archittu of Santa Caterina di Pittinurri, in the territory of Cuglieri, gets its name from a long,arch-shaped rock. The limestone bridge is about nine metres high and was the centre stage for the world high diving championships in 2001. This is a captivating place, especially at sunset, and has inspired various film directors: Lina Wertmuller used it as the setting for the initial scene in Summer Night withGreek Profile, Almond Eyes and Scent of Basil (1986), Davide Manuli (The legend of Kaspar Hauser, 2011) and Rocco Papaleo (A Small Southern Enterprise, 2012).
The reef is formed by sedimentary limestone called lunar, because of the reflections they generate. Next to the natural arch, which was originally a cave, there is a beach that is protected from the currents and has a shallow seabed, guaranteeing relaxation and fun. There is no shortage of services and amenities and also access for the disabled. It can be reached via a narrow road located north of the village: by walking along a paved pathway, you can get almost as far as the arch.
The most intrepid and expert swimmers usually dive off of the arch, while those who do not like risk, can enjoy the sea and take photographs of the sunsets during the summer: the orange sun seems to stand still, imprisoned within the arch. The landscaperanges from the deep blue of the sea to the green of the Mediterranean scrub. The scenic effect is even more beautiful at night, when lights illuminate the whole area.
S’Archittu is surrounded by three islets shaped like a mushroom, also smoothed by the patient waves, while nearby, you will find the archaeological site of Cornus, an ancient city state dating back to the 6th century BC.
( Sardinia - Italy ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting Sardinia . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Sardinia - Italy

Our visit Kotor travel guide documentary covers some of the top attractions including a food guide (Montenegrin), top sightseeing tourist attractions and the city by day including visiting churches, parks, the old town, quirky neighborhoods, museums and a hockey game. 10 Things to do in Kotor, Montenegro Travel Guide Video Transcript: (Котор)
Good morning friends. We have made it to Montenegro. We're in Kotor (Котор) right by the water we're staying in the Old Town. We've been here a few days and it has been raining non-stop just like it was in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Like the first half of the week it just poured but now it is nice. We can't wait to explore this city so join us as we make a little travel guide.
If there’s one thing that had caught our attention upon arriving in Kotor (Cattaro), it was the fortifications that not only encircle the old town but also run all the way up into the mountain, so a hike up to Kotor Fortress was the first stop on our itinerary.
As a tip, we would say the best time to hike up to Kotor Fortress is in the morning because the path is shaded. This isn’t a huge consideration if you’re visiting in winter like we did, but definitely something to keep in mind if you visit in the summer.
The Cathedral of St Tryphon was built in honor of the patron saint and protector of the city, on the very same spot where an older church had already stood long ago. We paid our admission and went in to visit the cathedral’s very own museum.
After walking along part of the city walls, we stopped by the Sea Gate, which is the third entrance into the Old Town. As soon as you walk through here you’re met with a clock tower and a big square that’s encircled by restaurants and lots of little lanes that break away - basically it’s a great place to wander.
And now we want to show you one more restaurant that we enjoyed in Kotor (Cattaro). This one was called Cesarica and they specialized in seafood.
Lastly, if you want to enjoy a little evening stroll, the Port of Kotor is a beautiful place. Not only can you enjoy the city all lit up at night, but if you happen to be there on a day when the cruise ship pulls into town, it’s worth sticking around to watch it manoeuvre its way.
And that concludes our visit to Kotor (Котор). We hope you guys enjoyed following along and we’ll see you in the next video where we visit the neighbouring coastal town of Budva.
This is part of our Travel in Montenegro video series showcasing Montenegrin food, Montenegrin culture and Montenegrin cuisine.

Where I found it is to know when the western coast of Sardinia. Castle is a defense against invasion from the sea has long surrounded the city. Alghero is a place where the Aragon dynasty ruled Spain for nearly 400 years from the 14th century until the 18th century. The city every corner of Spain yen still feel this place is called the small Loose Barcelona in Sardinia. St. Michele in particular is famous Duomo cathedral of Spain Catalonia form. Omgideon the pace I was able to meet the flag to the center of Alghero, yellow and red cross patterns that were too similar to that of Barcelona. In addition, the flag had written called the land of Sardinia Spain. It says in Spanish. Sardinia has got the mastery of many nations, including Genoa, Piedmont, Spanish, Arabic. Because here to learn, especially batatgi the rule of Spain is the only place in Spain that uses Catalan in Sardinia. The people's identity is also closer to Spain than Rome.

A Tourist Guide To Puglia 694476
For more information visit:
Travelling There
Flying is the best option for getting there as the region three airpo...
Puglia is a region located on the East coast of southern Italy. It is often known as the heel due to Italys aerial view resemblance to a knee-high boot. Many past rulers from years ago have used this region for a base location to try and control both the Adriatic and Ionian seas. These days it is a popular tourist destination because of its beautiful coastline and natural scenery.
Travelling There
Flying is the best option for getting there as the region three airports (Bari-Palese, Brindisi and Foggia). Good rail and road networks allow for frequent train and bus journeys. If you are arriving from Greece then the ferries to Bari and Brindisi are a good choice.
Accommodation Options
Puglia is a large region and so accommodation options are plentiful. Hotels, campsites and guesthouses are the norm but why not make your holiday a bit more of an experience and stay in a castle or a trullo that are found in the Alberobello area.
History
The region of Puglia is home to many cities that were trading centres with the rest of ancient Greece. Following the rule of the Romans was the invasion of the region by the Byzantines. The Spanish then took over from the Byzantines and their influence of the region can still be seen.
Sights and Attractions
The region of Puglia is beautiful and packed with sightseeing potential. However, the most impressive area is Trulli. This present day World Heritage Site is packed with domed buildings, and a unique look. For great architecture be sure to visit Lecce and get a feel for its Baroque attractiveness and 17th century architecture. Another place of particular interest is San Giovanni Rotondo. Here you can visit the remains of 'Santa Claus' at the Church of St Nicholas.
Shopping
As the region is so big the shopping varies at different places. The cities and towns of Puglia have big department stores, unique smaller shops and supermarkets. Smaller parts of the region have more in the way of souvenir and, arts and craft shops.
Dining Options
Classic Mediterranean style restaurants can be found all over the regions popular resorts. Fresh seafood and fine tasting wines are a popular choice with tourists. Prices can vary depending on the area although most food is pretty reasonable. All kinds of international cuisine are available so there should be something to please everybody.

Vélo trip ???? Italia (eng subtitles)
Our trip :to cross Italy, from Verona to Rome, and by bike ! Moreover, hosted by CouchSurfing, a travel in total immersion.
The EuroVelo 7 in Italy includes only some portions of cycle paths. But, we enjoyed to have a pre-defined path, probably defined to be the most pleasant.
