Tarey Bhir : The Hidden Paradise of Sikkim | Sikkim Tour | North East | INDIA | Travel Film
In search of meaningful ways to spend our weekends we travel. We travel also to forget our stressful collage schedules and to nurture our passion for Photography.
Few days back in such an expedition we found this beautiful place called Tarey Bhir in our cross hairs. We found bliss in this peaceful place. This montage is just a try to express those feelings.
At a distance of 16 km from Namchi, Tarey Bhir is a long ridge on a high cliff located at Sadam village near Namchi in South Sikkim, INDIA. It is one of the most amazing points of interest in Namchi and among the popular places to experience Sikkim Tourism.
Tarey Bhir is a 3 km long stone ridge on which pedestrian footsteps have been built to climb the steep ridge. Bhir means 'Cliff' in Nepalese language. The height of the ridge is about 10,000 feet and has a drop down gorge of over 3500 feet on the right side. This is an ideal place for adventure loving people. It is the only place from where Kalimpong, Darjeeling and Teesta River can be seen at one eye sight.
Looks like The Great Wall of China, Tarey Bhir is an amazing viewpoint with breathtaking surroundings. There is also a watch tower at the end of the stone pathway. From the watch tower one can get some panoramic views of snowy mountains in the north, Kalimpong town in the east and confluence of Teesta and Rangeet in the south. Tarey Bhir also presents a view of the tea garden on a sloppy hill of Peshok. Morning is the best time to visit this place.

Tawang is both historically and naturally endowed. It is situated at an altitude of 3500 metres above sea level. The natural beauty and solitude of Gudpi and Chong-Chugmi ranges, Tawang chu River and Tawang valley are very mesmerizing. The inhabitants of the districts are all of Monpa tribes.
There are many beautiful grlacial lakes in and around Tawang with crystal blue waters such as Sela lake, P.T.Tso lake, Sangetser lake, Banggachang lake and many more. These remain frozen in winter while in summer they become haven for migratory birds.

Tiger’s Nest in Bhutan - Trekking to the SPECTACULAR Monastery on a Cliff! (Final Day in Bhutan)
Tiger’s Nest Monastery in Bhutan is one of the most famous attractions, and the beauty is mind-blowing!
►Subscribe for more videos:
On Day 19 of our food and travel trip to Bhutan, we dedicated the entire day to trekking to Tiger’s Nest Monastery in Bhutan (Paro Taktsang in Bhutanese Dzongkha), which sits literally on the edge of a cliff. The hike takes about 3 - 4 hours or so, and since I wanted to beat the main crowds, my wife and I left from the hotel quite early to get a head start. It worked out quite well, because we were some of the only people on the trail that early in the morning. The fresh air was amazing. We wound our way along the trail, and soon we could get amazing views of Tiger’s Nest hidden in the clouds and on the side of the cliff.
The trail, although steep, isn’t really dangerous in any parts, as long as you keep your eye on the trail and don’t try to get too close to the edge. At the top of Tiger’s Nest Monastery they don’t allow any photography, so you have to check in your bag. We walked around the monastery for a little while, ate some snacks, and then headed down.
Despite Tiger’s Nest Monastery in Bhutan being one of the most famous attractions and icons of Bhutan, it really is spectacular.
Round-Trip Taxi from Paro to Tiger’s Nest - 1,400 BTN ($20.99)
It’s typically recommended that you visit Tiger’s Nest at the end of your trip to Bhutan so that you acclimatize better to the elevation.
Gangtey Palace Hotel - After returning from Tiger’s Nest, we checked into the classic Gangtey Palace Hotel for our final night in Bhutan!
