I joined Male Mikoshi in 12th Sannoh Ichi Festival of Hie Shrine on Sunday 1st June 2014, organaizing Wada Group of 16 perticipants. In this mikoshi festival, about 40 porters of the mikoshi called Rikisha wearing black happi coat and fundoshi loincloth. I call this mikoshi Black Fundoshi Mikoshi. Their black costume is very unique and manly figure. I weared fundoshi loincloth together them.

この作品は、平成26年（2014）６月１日（日）、一泊二日の日程で、富山県富山市に鎮座する日枝神社の春季例大祭である山王祭に併せて開催された第12回とやま山王市の男御輿を密着取材したものです。

この祭では、御輿の担ぎ手を力者（りきしゃ）と呼び、男御輿は全員黒い褌を締めていることから、黒褌御輿（くろふんみこし）と名付けました。山王被り・黒法被・黒褌・黒地下足袋の衣装は、とても凛々しく、全国に例のない黒装束の御輿です。

11年前に町興しの一環として始まった御輿巡行は、当初、黒褌一丁の裸形（らぎょう）で担いでいたことから裸御輿と呼ばれていました。参加者も多く、最盛期には100人を超え、二台の大御輿で町内を巡行していたといいます。

ところが、裸御輿に偏見を持つ現職の富山市長が力者に法被を着させたために、法被を羽織るなら止めるという参加者が続出して年々減り続け、11回目の平成25年は26人になってしまいました。しかし、地元有志は、富山の活性化のために、懸命に御輿渡御を続けています。その姿に感動した筆者は、 翌年、全国連和田グループ第一期16人の代表として加勢し 、筆者も黒褌を締めて取材しました。

言い伝えでは300年程の歴史があるとされ、文献には安政3年(1856年)3月に加賀藩の前田のお殿様が、中納言の昇進のお祝いにと赤飯・昆布とスルメを六渡寺の住民に配布したお礼に、六渡寺の獅子舞が舞われたとの記述があります。
富山の最高峰の獅子舞の一つである六渡寺の獅子舞には、多くの見物客がやってきます。

Travel Japan! 福野夜高祭2011【HD】FUKUNO Yotaka festival, in Toyama Japan

富山県の福野では毎年5月1日･2日に、絢爛なあんどんが夜空に映える「福野夜高祭」が開かれます。
色鮮やかな大あんどんが大勢の見物客を魅了し、二日深夜には、あんどんを壊し合う「引き合い」が行われます。
慶安5年（西暦1652年）、伊勢神宮の御分霊を福野神明社の氏神に迎える際に日が暮れ、町の人々が手に行燈を持って出迎えたのが「福野夜高祭」の起源とされています。
The FUKUNO Yotaka festival, history of 350 years, was held on May 1 and 2nd in Toyama, Japan. On May 2nd midnight, when Parade floats meet each other in a narrow alley, they are permitted to jump on other floats and rip them to shreds. This event is the largest spectacle of the festival.
