Someone decided to film a few scenic spots in High Park, Toronto, Canada with my drone. They wanted to catch some fall colours on the trees and went out to capture it as soon as the weather and trees looked good.

Cycling Toronto - Bloor Street West & High Park [4K60]
This bike ride takes us west down Bloor Street West in Toronto all the way over to High Park and then I ride south through the park on West Road and Colborne Lodge Drive down to The Queensway. The entire ride is 10km and was recorded on Sunday, August 11th around 3pm. I recorded this one at 60 frames per second instead of the usual 30 which does give the video a smoother look. The reason I haven't been using 60 up until now is that it really drains the battery on the Hero 7 Black quickly and it's also known for causing the camera to overheat. Let me know if you prefer this in the comments and I'll try to use it whenever possible on future rides.

High Park Loop during Blizzard
During a blizzard, I was able to go to High Park Loop and film some 506 streetcars in the snow. My apologies for the wet lens and the shakiness of the camera at times, it was really cold & windy and I didn't have gloves on me.

Cherry blossoms in High Park
2019 full bloom is expected starting May 8 - give or take a day. Blooming usually lasts for 4-5 days so the weekend of May 11-12 should be a good time to visit but if you can go during the week you can avoid large crowds. Remember - no cars allowed this year except wheel transit.
Cherry blossoms last for about a week to a week and a half if the weather is nice but if it rains while they are in bloom then the flower petals fall quicker and the blooming may be over in just a few short days. Some years - not too often - if the weather is unusually cold in April then the trees may not bloom at all.

Cherry Blossoms High Park Toronto, Ontario, Canada. High Park attracts thousands of people every year in early spring to admire the beautiful Cherry Blossoms. It lasts for less than couple of weeks. But, if it rains while they are in bloom, the flower petals fall quicker and the blooming may be over within a week. The flowering of the Sakura trees is spectacular and the trees will be covered the with cherry blossoms during the peak bloom. So, you better watch when the sakura is at its peak. Bloor West Village is full of amazing little shops, restaurants and bars that you must visit if you're in Toronto! High Park has a ton of great activities, including tennis, shinny hockey in the winter, and Grenadier cafe - which is home to some tasty food!
