Walking on Leicester's Little India Street: Belgrave Road & Melton Road, (on a hot summer's day).
This is a walk on a street known as the Golden Mile where the stretch of the High Street recorded in this video there are many, many south Indian cafe type restaurants, eateries, spice & grocery shops.
Well worth seeking out is a wonderful Vegetarian restaurant called Chai Pani .........we especially recommend their Tandoori Sizzler & all their portion sizes are quite large.
Many congratulations to Leicester City football club on being crowned Premier League champions after Tottenham failed to beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge yesterday (2nd May 2016).
(Following is still in draft:
This area was settled by many Gujarati Indians in the 1970's arriving over here from Africa due to being told to leave the country by the then dictator Idi Amin. Many of the people fleeing were businessmen back in places like Kampala, Mombasa & Uganda; so it was natural that when they arrived here in the UK that they would start some form of business).

Passport And Visas Requirements To Enter The UK
Please note: Following the recent referendum vote for the UK to leave the European Union (EU), there are currently no changes in the way people travel to Britain. The following guidelines still apply:
If you're planning an adventure to the UK, depending on your nationality and your reason for visiting, you may need to organise a visa.
If you're an American, Canadian or Australian tourist, you'll be able to travel visa-free throughout the UK, providing you have a valid passport and your reason for visiting meets the immigration rules (link is external).
Citizens from some South American and Caribbean countries as well as Japan are also able to travel visa-free around the UK.
European Union citizens, non-EU member states of the EEA (Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland), Switzerland, and members of the Overseas Countries and Territories (OCT) do not need a visa to enter the UK.
If you have any further visa questions visit the official UK government website.

Highcross Centre, Leicester
In the wisdom of the City Council, the name of the old Shires shopping centre was changed in connection with this redevelopment.
There is friendly competition between Leicester and other cities in the region and because this project was finished in September 2008, it represents the state of the art in attracting shoppers to a medium-sized city. There is a multi-screen cinema, shown at the start of the clip.
It seems likely that the project was financed largely when the pound was around its recent high, which would have helped to pay for the high quality finish apparent here.
Another, smaller shopping centre, the Haymarket Shopping Centre, is nearby.
