Best Drive In Britain A82 Road Glencoe Highlands Scotland
Tour Scotland travel video of part of a road trip drive, with music, on the A82 road to Glencoe in the Scottish Highlands, Britain. The route to Glen Coe is one of the most famous driving roads in Scotland and Britain. The A82 is a major road in Scotland that runs from Glasgow to Inverness via Fort William. The route is derived in several places from the military roads constructed through the Highlands by General George Wade and Major William Caulfeild in the 18th century, along with later roads constructed by Thomas Telford in the 19th century. Tourists find the A82 a popular route because of its scenery, and it serves as a main artery for commercial and heavy goods traffic. Two of the three Highlander films starring Christopher Lambert were filmed here. The opening battle scene near the beginning of the film takes place between the mountains of Buchaille Etive Mor and Buchaille Etive Beag, at the entrance to the Glen. This Highlands location featured in Skyfall the James Bond movie, and Harry Potter films mainly because it is the most famous Scottish glen and one of the most dramatic landscapes in the world. The A82 runs from Glasgow to Fort William and Inverness, passing along the shores of Loch Lomond and Loch Ness and in the shadow of Ben Nevis along the way. It is probably the most important trunk route serving the West Highlands of Scotland, and along its route uses pieces of road first built in the 1750s. Glencoe was the scence of one of the most infamous massacres in Scottish history

With a seriously large amount of travel coming up to some dense urban metropolises such as LA, New York, Toronto and Tokyo; we realised our window of opportunity to visit Scotland was very slim before the days get colder and darker.
Embarrassingly, neither Elly or I had ever been to Scotland. Yet we've been all the way around the other side of the world to the far reaches of New Zealand... We wanted to change that and make the quick hop up from London to experience some of the best nature the UK has to offer.
Our 2-day road trip consisted of a loop from Edinburgh into the Highlands via Loch Lomond, to Loch Ness, Glenfinnan and the Isle of Skye, before journeying back towards Edinburgh. I wanted to make a travel vlog similar to how this channel used to look a couple of years ago, featuring more about the journey and our overall experience rather than a segment of a particular photography day. I really enjoyed making it and look forward to part 2 coming in the next few days!
P.S. A note on the drone footage quality: After reviewing the footage from this trip, I noticed a lot of the watercolour effect happening. I've since adjusted from -1 sharpening to +1 sharpening on my Mavic Pro in an attempt to disable to noise reduction algorithm causing the bad quality picture. Hopefully it's all good for the next time I use my drone!

Road Trip: Scottish Highlands in Winter Snow (7 Days in Scotland)
Road Trip in the Scottish Highlands during Winter Snow in Scotland full itinerary here We arrived in mid-January during yellow and amber weather warnings when the mountains are blanketed in extremely thick snow. Our road trip through the Scottish Highlands begins with the crossing from Belfast to Cairnryan with Stenaline ( when we continue on to Loch Lomond. The snow filled road trip then begins the next day as we continue to Glen Coe through the Scottish Highlands, and from there we cross east to west with a night in Pitlochry passing Loch Tay. Then it is north to the Cairngorms and Aviemore, famous for its ski resorts, and pine forests. Onwards we travel to Loch Ness, in passing, as we continue to the Isle of Skye and the far north east corners of Scotland. Catching amazing winter and snow filled scenery along the way. From the Isle of Skye we then return to the Glen Coe area, staying at Fort William beneath the Nevis Range, Scotland's tallest mountain. Then from Fort William we exit the highlands with a night near Saint Andrews and not far from Dundee.

PURE DRIVING PLEASURES -Scenic Scottish highlands road trip by car via A87
Hi guys,
I wanna share with you guys the scenic driving experience while driving in Scottish highlands via the A87 road. This is how it looks like when you're driving from Fort William to Isle of Skye, (but not the place we wanted to go, its different place of Isle of Skype)
The scenic drive from Fort William to there is very beautiful and amazing for me. I will never forget. You should at less visit this place once.
We drove from our apartment in Fort William but stop many places for taking a picture and video as well as enjoyed the view. LOL!
The weather in Scotland is unpredictable, sometimes cloudy, sometimes raining and sometimes is clear. Basically, you can get all the weathers in one day. The journey took a whole day from morning to night.
Next video, I'll share a video of driving experience from Fort William - Glenfinnan - Dalwhinnie - Edinburgh.
