The Highland Titles Nature Reserve
The Highland Titles Nature Reserve is showcased by The Scotsman's Business Player
Highland Titles is amongst Scotland's most dynamic and innovative businesses, using best business practices that really work. Highland Titles is managing to innovate, thrive, expand and grow despite the tough trading environment and have provided us with a four star Nature Reserve in the area of Glencoe.
Highland Titles has an unusual business model, in that the supporters of its Nature Reserve receive a souvenir plot of the Nature Reserve instead of the membership card that other similar bodies hand out.
Owned by a Guernsey charitable trust, Highland Titles supports local good causes and helps to increase the number of visitors to this area, increasing the turnover of other local businesses, some of whom in return offer discounts to the lairds of Glencoe, as supporters style themselves.
The reserve largely relies on local volunteers, and wherever possible employs local labour.
Now in its eighth year, the Highland Titles Nature Reserve is the first of what promises to be a number of similar owner funded areas of conservation land.
The Highland Titles Charitable Trust for Scotland is a charity registered in Guernsey, Charity Number CH444
