So a walk around Middlesbrough in the rain, and a trip through three shopping centres, The Cleveland, Hill Street and The Dundas.
Credit to The Cleveland Centre Security, as I walked past them unhindered. But, Hill Street and Dundas security really do not like to be filmed.
The “kicker” in this vid comes right near the end as the town’s CCTV system operator comes over a loud haler to inform me that I am being watched! ????????
Unfortunately, my battery dies seconds later but just so you all know, I was followed by the CCTV for around 15 mins afterwards (whilst I kept up the pretence of still filming) but had no further interruptions.
Shocking footage at Dundas Shopping Centre Middlesbrough Security Reaction to filming

Middlesbrough Security and members of the public have an aversion to being filmed- yet remain on camera.
I was filming outside of this centre and had no interference from anyone including the two street wardens that are featured but was aware that the Dundas Street private security had been watching. Turning my camera off, I headed through the centre to my car and was approached by the security who told me that I couldn’t film in there (even though I wasn’t) and that they would stop me, “put me down and smash the fucking thing”.
This obviously provoked me to start recording, and that would have been the shortest film i’ve made...until they followed me outside.
Apparently everyone in Middlesbrough has protection against being filmed in public, but the obviously want to be on camera.
A half hearted apology to the female that I said I would edit out, as I don’t have the software to do it at the time, but considering she chose to stand there and then get involved with the video- makes her as fair game and as stupid as the goons trying to assert their authority.

Places to see in ( Ormskirk - UK )
Ormskirk is a market town in West Lancashire, England, 13 miles north of Liverpool, 11 miles northwest of St Helens, 9 miles southeast of Southport and 18 miles southwest of Preston. Ormskirk is famous for its gingerbread.
Ormskirk lies on sloping ground on the side of a ridge, whose highest point is 68 metres (223 ft) above sea-level, at the centre of the West Lancashire Plain, and has been described as a planned borough, laid out in the 13th century. Ormskirk is an unparished area, surrounded by the parishes of Bickerstaffe, Aughton, Scarisbrick, Burscough, Lathom and Lathom South.
Ormskirk is located in the district of West Lancashire and is the site of the headquarters of West Lancashire Borough Council. Since Ormskirk does not have a parish council, a voluntary association, Ormskirk Community Partnership, was created in 2009, with the support of the West Lancashire Borough Council, to act as a voice for Ormskirk. Ormskirk is home to Edge Hill University.
The parish church of St Peter and St Paul is believed to be on the site of the original kirk, on a sandstone outcrop, and is the oldest building in the town of Ormskirk . Its exact age is unknown; the building does contain some fragments of Norman architecture.
Victoria Park, named after Queen Victoria, is Ormskirk's oldest park, established towards the end of the 19th Century. It contains a monument to local heroes of the Boer War and Crimean War. Coronation Park, a large park in the town centre on Park Road, which has children's play areas, skateboard area, games area for football and basketball, fitness equipment, duck pond, bowling green, bandstand and wildlife meadow. The Park was established in about 1905 by the former Ormskirk Urban District to commemorate the coronation of King Edward VII.

Middlesbrough is a large industrial town on the south bank of the River Tees in North Yorkshire, north-east England, founded in 1830. The local council, a unitary authority, is Middlesbrough Borough Council.
Middlesbrough became a county borough within the North Riding of Yorkshire in 1889. In 1968, the borough was merged with a number of others to form the County Borough of Teesside, which was absorbed in 1974 by the county of Cleveland. In 1996, Cleveland was abolished, and Middlesbrough Borough Council became a unitary authority within North Yorkshire. RGs Erimus (We shall be in Latin) was chosen as Middlesbrough's motto in 1830. It recalls Fuimus (We have been) the motto of the Norman/Scottish Bruce family, who were lords of Cleveland in the Middle Ages. The town's coat of arms is an azure lion, from the arms of the Bruce family, a star, from the arms of Captain James Cook, and two ships, representing shipbuilding and maritime trade.
