Rocks that sounds like Bell (The Hill of Bells Cerro de las Campanas - Queretaro )
The famous rocks at the Cerro de las campanas in Queretaro, that rings like bell :)
The Cerro de las Campanas is a hill located in the city of Queretaro , Queretaro State in Mexico . A fact which lasted only seconds brought him fame and a place in national history: the triple shooting of an emperor, a president and a general. Its name comes from the sound semimetallic, like bells, produced by certain rocks to collide. Many tourists have taken these and there are only two on display. This hill was on the outskirts of the city, the population growth and now virtually engulfed in the downtown area.

San Miguel de Allende is such a beautiful city. It's highly recommended for your next Mexican vacation destination.
Transcript: Hi I'm here in San Miguel de Allende. It's in Mexico. It's a beautiful old historic town. Wonderful people, incredible food,
beautiful views, a lot of culture it's my first time in Mexico.
I had always kind of been hesitant about coming to Mexico cuz hear about the bad water and some of the crime in some of the more touristy areas. This is some place that I would come back to in a heartbeat. Like I said I never wanted to come to Mexico now I'm already looking online for vacation plans to bring my family
back here to San Miguel de Allende. It's beautiful. I am so relaxed here.
It's good to kind of decompress and relieve some stress. I'm here for a
corporate presentation I had my comedy mind reading mentalism show last night for a group of only 18 people from the US. They all flew out this morning. They had one final party last night that I performed at and I have another couple of days here to explore. I got here the day before my presentation and had a chance to explore the town. Now there was a lot of parades and festivals going on.
It's a big festival festival weekend here it's Saint Michael's
birthday and they have people up on poles swinging from their from their feet on ropes. They had parades. They had so many things going on and I don't know if you can hear in the background about a mile down the hill maybe half mile there's other festivals going on today too. It's just an incredible incredible city and I can't wait to bring my family back here on vacation.
As I was walking around town yesterday I noticed a lot of stray dogs one in particular followed me all the way back here to where I'm staying. Now I didn't have permission from the owners to bring it in so I didn't, but it was thirsty, it was hungry. I went in my room here at my bed and breakfast and got some water but by the time I got back it was already gone.
So today I have some water I have three bottles and I can get more and I'm gonna try to find some dogs and let them have some food, have some water and just kind of check out the the culture here, check out some of the the places to eat and the markets and everything else and I thought I'd take you along with me to let you experience San Miguel de Allende. I hope I said that
right I always screw it up but it's an incredible town and I know you'd love it.
Everybody I run into here has been in here for vacation has been here for vacation at least two or three times they all say they usually don't go back to some place more than once or twice and they keep coming back and back and back. I love it here I want you to experience it with me and I hope you enjoy my little tour.
I was getting hungry so I stopped at a little food stand that was selling this corn. It's grilled, they put butter on it and some chili powder. It's not spicy at all it's just honestly the best corn I've ever had.
Sadly, I couldn't find any street dogs to give water or food to but I will be back there tomorrow to try to find some. Until next time, I hope you're having a great day wherever you are. MEXICO: ZAPATISTA REBELS ON TREK TO MEXICO CITY
Spanish/Nat
XFA
Mexico's Zapatista rebels, who are on a two-week trek from southern Chiapas state to Mexico City, stopped to speak to crowds in central Mexico on Thursday.
But they ended up trading insults with the local state governor who made it clear they were unwelcome.
The Mexican media has dubbed the rebels' 12-state trek across Mexico the Zapatour.
State governors along the route have provided extra security, portable toilets and other support and the rebels have been greeted by thousands of cheering sympathisers.
Thursday presented the march's first event in a state with an outwardly unfriendly official.
I am going to try not to speak long because you know that at any moment they are going to come for us to have us shot on the Cerro de las Campanas, joked rebel leader Subcomandante Marcos.
He was referring to Governor Ignacio Loyola's recent suggestion the rebels were traitors who deserved to be executed.
In a published interview last month, Loyola called rebel leader Subcomandante Marcos an untrustworthy coward whose refusal to meet with President Vicente Fox is only a pretext for prolonging the seven-year rebel conflict.
Loyola has also refused to release two Zapatista prisoners being held in Queretaro, a state in central Mexico.
Releasing all rebel prisoners is one of three conditions the rebels have established for reopening peace talks with the government.
Speaking before about ten thousand cheering supporters in the main plaza of Queretaro state capital on Thursday, Marcos called the governor an imbecile.
He mockingly offered Loyola a history lesson, referring to the 1867 execution of the Emperor Maximilian and his aides on the nearby Cerro de las Campanas.
If Loyola knew the history of the state he says he governs, he would know that it was a conservative governor such as yours who was defeated by an army of patriots such as ours, Marcos said, and it was the conservatives like him who were shot.
Supporters formed a protective human chain on the highway outside the city after a bus carrying foreign supporters lost its brakes and hit two motorcycle police officers accompanying the convoy.
One of the officers was reported to be in grave condition.
The second suffered minor injuries.
Several other vehicles were also bumped, including the bus carrying the Zapatistas.
Loyola belongs to the conservative party of President Vicente Fox, but Fox has repeatedly defended the caravan and asked Congress to approve the Indian rights legislation for which the rebels are campaigning.
SOUNDBITE (Spanish)
In view of the circumstances, I, the subcomandante, declare that in full use of my suicidal senses, and waiting to be shot in Queretaro, more precisely, in the Hill of the Bells, by an imbecil who does not even know the national anthem nor the Mexican constitution.

SOUNDBITE (Spanish)
The three signs are: liberty for all Zapatista political prisoners in Chiapas, Tabasco and Queretaro; the constitutional recognition of the indigenours cultures, and the pull back of the federal military from Garrucha, Rio Eusebia, and Guadalupe Tepeyac. Regarding the rest, a Mayan wiseman named Jacinto Ganet taught us that besides knowledge, emotion or sentiment is also a way to penetrate the truth of all things.

SOUNDBITE (Spanish)
There was an incident from which we want to have, first of all, the recognition of fault by the federal police in charge of highways.

BERNAL, QUERÉTARO - Hola amigos and welcome back to Mexico! Today we are leaving Querétaro for the day heading east to the small Pueblo Magico (Magic Town) of Bernal, well known for it's colourful, colonial architecture and Peña de Bernal (Rock of Bernal) which not only is one of the 13 Wonders of Mexico but also the TALLEST monolith in the world!
It's also Cinco de Mayo (May 5th), which, although more celebrated in the US, still sees some activity in terms of parades and celebrations.
So get ready to check out Bernal, climb the monolith, learn about the state of Querétaro and sample some food native to the area! Bernal has to be one of my favourite places in Mexico, a MUST if you a planning a Mexico vacation in 2019!
