Like other Himroo shop and industry making on power loom or jacquard techniques. Himroo store is still manufacturing the product with the Original handcrafted Himroo Extra Floating weft technique one sees visible see in the store.
Himroo Store is the most preferred destination when it comes to the range of Paithani, Mashru and Himroo fabrics and dress materials too. One can see live weaving in the store on a regular day. All colors are created using natural and organic dyes. It is also one of the most popular tourist attractions in Aurangabad. All royal families, celebrities and stars prefer Himroo Stores, Mughal-e-Azam also had Himroo Store creations..
Tourists can visit the Ajanta caves and can drop by the Studio to get a glimpse of the old age art of weaving which has been preserved for generations. It is also a showroom for exquisite shawls, wall hangings, cotton and silk bedspreads, brocaded lengths of cloth and other dress materials.
Our designs of materials maintain their originality and royalty in a combination of a traditional and modern touch. Also, the design on sarees and materials depict the scenes and motifs from the murals at Ajanta.
We also have handicrafts which can be taken as souvenirs. We mainly specialize in Himroo, Mashru, and Paithani.

The word himroo originated from Persian word Hum-ruh which means 'similar'. Himroo is a replication of Kum-khwab, which was woven with pure golden and silver threads in olden days, and was meant for the royal families.
Himroo uses Persian designs, and is very characteristic and distinctive in appearance. Himroo from Aurangabad is in demand for its unique style and design.
According to historians this art originated in Persia, though it has not been proved, himroo is associated with the times of Mohammad Tughlaq who ruled in the 14th century. When Mohammad Tughlaq shifted his capital from Delhi to Daulatabad many weavers came and settled here. During the migration, the weavers instead of returning to Delhi chose to stay back here. They did not want to go back to Delhi. During the reign of Malik Ambar many people were attracted to the city and came and settled here from far and wide. Aurangabad during Aurangzeb's Governorship and the times of Mughal became the capital and the weavers had a gala time making money and becoming prosperous. The handicraft industry in Aurangabad attracted hundreds of craftsman and artisans. Members of the royal family and an elite few used the famous Aurangabad himroo. Paithani silk saree weaving in Aurangabad
Known the world over as a poem hand woven in silk and gold, Paithani Sarees are for those with discerning and refined taste. The art of weaving Paithani flourished in 200B.C., during Satvahana era. since then Paithani is coveted in India as a precious heirloom passing on from generation to generation. Exquisite silk from Paithani was exported to many countries and was traded in return for gold and precious stones. Shear dedication and the faith of the weavers has kept alive Paithani silk work for more than 2000years. Real Paithani is hand woven pure silk and gold/silver
Intricate designs on pallu and border is a specialty of Paithani Sarees. Motifs on pallu are generally peacock, lotus, mango and other designs taken form Ajanta Caves. Traditional creative artistry and pain staking workmanship combine to form this unique cloth. Paithani Sarees can take between 2 months to years to manufacture, depending on border and pallu design and costs from Rs.6000/- to Rs.500,000.
Described in early literature as Maharashtra. the great fabric, a cloth is being woven since thousands of years from a very ancient and popular city known as Supratishthapuram, a silken cloth brocaded with golden threads, is what we call today the Paithani. The city is today known as paithan, giving fabric its modern name.
The fabric woven in traditional ways even after many centuries, is renowned as the great fabric not only for Maharashtra but also from India. Even in today's advanced world the methods of weaving Paithani have not changed at all , the reason why its not lessened by a whisker. Woven with extremely dedicate silk threaded sticks, the Paithani is one fabric, which cannot be matched by any other cloth today that is why it is enchanting legacy from Maharashtra and fabric of beautifully women.

औरंगाबाद - व्यवसाय उद्योगातील नवीन तंत्रज्ञानाचे आदान-प्रदान करण्यासाठी राष्ट्रीय स्तरावर नावाजलेल्या औद्योगिक आणि अभियांत्रिकी प्रदर्शनाचे उद्घाटन कलाग्राम, चिकलठाणा, एम.आय.डी.सी औरंगाबाद येथे आज झाले. इंदौर येथील इन्फोलाईन आणि चेंबर ऑफ मराठवाडा इंडस्ट्रीज अॅण्ड अॅग्रीकल्चरच्या विद्यमाने हे प्रदर्शन भरविण्यात आले आहे. रविवारी (दि.18) पर्यंत हे प्रदर्शन पाहण्यासाठी खुले असणार आहे.
तीनदिवसीय औद्योगिक व अभियांत्रिकी प्रदर्शनाचे उद्घाटन मा.खा.चंद्रकांत खैरे यांच्या हस्ते करण्यात आले. यावेळी इंडोर इन्फोलाईनचे मॅनेजिंग डायरेक्टर राजकुमार अग्रवाल, राम भोगले प्रेसिडेट चेंबर ऑफ मराठवाडा इंडस्ट्रीज अॅण्ड अॅग्रीकल्चर यांची प्रमुख उपस्थिती होती. या प्रदर्शनाचे मुख्य आकर्षण म्हणजे इंडस्ट्रीयल रोबोट व ड्रायव्हर लेस कार असून त्यांचे डिझाईन औरंगाबादमधील एका कंपनीने केले आहे. प्रदर्शनात 100 पेक्षा अधिक प्रसिध्द कंपन्या सहभागी झाल्या आहेत. यात इंडस्ट्रीयल ऑटोमेशन, मशील टूल्स, बेअरिंग, स्विच गीअर्स, पंप बेल्डिंग उपकणे, फार्मा मशिनरी, पावर टूल्स, कटिंग टूल्स, बांधकाम उपकरणे यांच्यासह इतरही वस्तू ठेवण्यात आल्या आहेत.
इंदौर इन्फोलाइनतर्फे यापूर्वी महाराष्ट्रातील नागपूर, नाशिक तसेच रायपूर, इंदौर, हैद्राबाद, जमशेदपुर येथेही अशाच प्रदर्शनाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले होते. हे प्रदर्शन सगळयासाठी नि:शुल्क असून सकाळी 11 ते 2 दरम्यान व्यावसायिक तसेच संध्याकाळी 4 ते 7 दरम्यान सामान्य नागरिकांना हे प्रदर्शन बघता येईल. असे आवाहन राजकुमार अग्रवाल यांनी केले आहे.
