Kamakura / Great Budda in Japan (鎌倉大仏と江ノ島)
I traveled in Kamakura city this summer with my family to meet the Great Buddha, Daibutsusama. I took a lot of pictures in the travel. This slide show exhibits some of those. I hope you enjoy Kamakura and Great Buddha. The Kohtokuin is renowned for Great Buddha , a monumental outdoor bronze statue of Amida Buddha which is one of the most famous icons of Japan. The Kotokuin is located in Kamakura city where the first samurai governance by the Kamakura Shogunate was officially established in 1192 by the first shogun Minamoto no Yoritomo.
