They are all simply bursting with natural beauty: from jungles and magnificent waterfalls to amazing coral displays; from beautiful empty white sand or star sand beaches to stalactite caverns; and from manta rays, sea turtles and a rainbow of subtropical fish to the eagles circling over Ishigaki. Each island is unique, all of them are unforgettable.

Part 2 of my Ishigaki Vlog series: Exploring the area around Kabira Bay.
I went to Sukuji Beach - A Gorgeous and SECLUDED white sand beach.
I took a glass bottom boat ride in Kabira Bay and we saw an abundance of exotic fish and lots of TURTLES too!
I ate authentic and freshly made Yaeyama Soba (Okinawa soba noodles). So delicious!

Ishigaki (石垣島 Ishigaki-jima?, Yaeyama and Okinawan: Ishigachi), also known as Ishigakijima, is a Japanese island west of Okinawa Hontō and the second-largest island of the Yaeyama Island group. Much of the island and surrounding waters including Mount Omoto and Kabira Bay are protected as part of Iriomote-Ishigaki National Park.[1]
Ishigaki Island, like the rest of Okinawa, is culturally influenced by both Japan and Taiwan due to its location, about 300 km off the north eastern coast of Taiwan .

YAEYAMA ISLANDS
A week in the Yaeyama Islands.
This trip has truly taken my breath away, being from Hong Kong I have always grown up surrounded by buildings and cluttered space. I never really had a chance to be close to nature and actually take in its beauty. It was truly fascinating to wake up every morning next to the ocean with the sea breeze blowing across the balcony or being one with the marine animals while snorkeling. It does make me think how much I am missing out on this world and the fact that I'm stuck in a busy life of a student makes me constantly forget what's around me.
