Spring in Hirosaki - Cherry Blossom Festival - Go!Go!Tohoku!! Japan Travel
One of the largest Cherry Blossom Festivals in the whole of Japan - Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival. Located in the Castle Park of Hirosaki in Aomori Prefecture, the festival is from late April to early May each year (so if you miss the season in Kyoto and Tokyo, here is your chance)! The entire castle moat becomes a carpet of pink as the petals start to fall. The cherry blossoms don't last long, so be sure not to miss it!

Sakura Cherry Blossoms in Hirosaki - Japan ᴴᴰ ● 桜まつり青森弘前⎮Japan Travel Vlog
►Hirosaki Castle Park is home to almost 3000 sakura trees, with over 50 different types - and in my opinion, it's THE best spot of anywhere in Japan to watch the cherry blossoms.
There are lots of great places around Tokyo to watch the sakura cheery blossom, but Hirosaki in Aomori isn't just great, it's an overwhelming experience, with sakura everywhere you look, in this beautiful castle park, with Mount Iwaki (Iwakiyama) serving as a perfect backdrop.
Aomori is located north of Tokyo, 3h10m by Shinkansen, right under the island of Hokkaido. Once you get to Aomori City, it's another 50 minutes by local train to Hirosaki, but well worth the effort, and I'd say it's something you should see just once in your life.

Live from Horosaki's Cherry Blossom Festival, we really did go on an adventure! After walking through the amazing Sakura tunnel, we went over to the festival food area where things got out of control again!

[8K]Amazing Cherry Blossoms View at Hirosaki Park, Aomori Japan 日本一美しい桜の名所 青森県弘前市の弘前公園（弘前城）の満開の桜です。樹齢が60年から80年とされるソメイヨシノですが、弘前公園には樹齢100年を越すソメイヨシノが3000本以上あり、多くの専門家からは管理技術が日本一であると称賛される程となっています。夜には桜と史跡弘前城のライトアップもあり、昼とは別物とも思えるような幻想的で美しい絶景が楽しめます。
撮影当日は、朝に見頃を迎えて午後からは散り始めていた事もあり、夜のライトアップ時は部分的に花筏を見れた場所もありました。
今回の動画では過去に公開していた弘前公園の桜の風景映像を再編集して、3日がかりで画素補完処理を行い4Kから8Kにアップコンバートいたしました。8K放送と合わせて高精細で美しい映像で蘇った世界に誇る日本の絶景をお楽しみ下さい。

It is the cherry blossoms in full bloom of Hirosaki Park (Hirosaki Castle) in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture, which is considered to be the most beautiful in Japan.
In the night time, there is a cherry blossom light up, and you can enjoy a fantastic scene that seems to be different from daytime.
On the day of filming, the cherry blossoms were at their best in the morning and the flowers started to scatter from the afternoon, and there was a place where I could see the flower raft partly at the light up of the night.In this movie, we re-edited the image of Hirosaki park's cherry tree which was open to the public in the past and up-converted from 4K to 8K by performing pixel supplement processing.Please enjoy the magnificent view of Japan boasting of the world revived with high definition and beautiful images.

Next year 2018, Hirosaki park's 100th Sakura festival. So cannot miss it! Plan your trip to Hirosaki, Japan next year spring!
For viewing Sakura, this park is highly recommended :)
There are about 2,600 Sakura trees, and they are extremely gorgeous! Probably, it's one of the best Sakura festivals in Japan, personally I felt it's my best Sakura festival ever!
You can walk through a cherry blossoms tunnel and enjoy the view from a boat in the castle's west moat.
It takes about 2hrs (actually it took me more than that!) to walk around the castle park.
and.. it's more than cherry trees, they have entertaining events too! which is very amusing!

Duration: April 22 - May 7 (May slightly change by year)
JR Hirosaki locates 40 mins by train from Aomori station. To get to Hirosaki Castle park, take a loop bus (100 yen) from bus terminal in front of Hirosaki station or walk about 30 mins from the station.
As this place locates a little country side, it would be ideal to learn basic Japanese for you to enjoy Japan fully :)

Flowers of apples start blooming when cherry blossoms are about to fall. Hirosaki City Apple Park offers a spectacular scenery of apple blossom orchard with Mt. Iwaki in the background. Various attractions such as Tsugaru-shamisen live and hands-on experiences associated with apples including pressing apple flowers and apple peeling family competition are available.

Hirosaki castle boasts 2600 cherry trees that includes 53 varieties, such as Somei Yoshino, Japanese weeping cherry and Yaezakura.

Currently it is widely distributed, especially in the temperate zone of the Northern Hemisphere such as: Europe, West Siberia, South Korea, China, Japan, United States, etc. Hirosaki City in Aomori prefecture is located in the northern tip of the main Honshu island, Japan. Hirosaki Park which surrounds the castle is home to more than 2,500 cherry trees making it one of the best spots to view the beautiful cherry blossoms in Japan. Over a million people enjoy the park’s cherry blossoms every year. In 1700's Cherry trees were first planted around Hirosaki Castle, but It is said that the numbers of trees was desolated at one time, but the many of trees has planted over in the beginning of the 1900's, thanks to people of japan to help for making Hirosaki Castle as beautiful as it is now. The annual Hirosaki Sakura Cherry Blossom Festival is held from April 23 to May 6 when the blossoms are at their absolute peak. The park bustles with people enjoying rental boats, stalls and the illumination of cherry blossoms at night.
Hirosaki Castle and its cherry blossoms are known as one of the best scenic spots in Japan, listed in the “100 best spots for cherry blossoms in Japan” selected by the government, “Japan’s 100 scenic spots where people and nature blend in harmony” and also listed in “Japan’s Top 100 Castles”.
Hirosaki Castle is an ancient castle located in Hirosaki, southwest Aomori Prefecture on the northern tip of the main island of Honshu in Japan. The historic town of Hirosaki was established in the feudal era by the Tsugaru clan and is today one of Tohoku’s cultural centres. The town flourished during the 17th century as a castle town with Hirosaki Castle its crowning jewel.

This world is a beautiful place! As a professor of human genetics, my husband, Dr. Lynn Jorde, has opportunities to travel the world. Sometimes, I have the privilege of tagging along.
