Segments include a visit to the stunningly beautiful Usa Shrine, the mountain town of Yufuin which is known for its many traditional Japanese hot springs and the unique religious site of the Usuki Stone Buddhas, which are regarded as rare national treasures. 祭神
司馬遼太郎原作のNHKドラマ
『坂の上の雲』で、俳優「藤本隆宏」
が演じた、竹田市出身の軍神第1号の
大日本帝国 海軍中佐「広瀬武夫命」
を主祭神とし、旧直入郡（現竹田市）
の戦歿者の霊1400余柱を合祀する。

境内には広瀬記念館
広瀬の乗艦「戦艦朝日」のカッター（短艇）
帝国海軍 金剛型戦艦 比叡のマスト等
が展示される。

また、映画『日本のいちばん長い日』
で、俳優「役所広司」が演じた、帝国
陸軍大将「阿南惟幾」の顕彰碑も建て
られている。
