Gujo Hachiman Guide 郡上八幡

View a guide to the town of Gujo Hachiman (郡上八幡) in the mountains of Gifu Prefecture. The town is known for its flowing streams and Edo-era buildings. Summer sees nightly mass dancing as the Gujo odori takes place from July to September.

【ふるさと郡上TV】大日岳道の駅

717年に、泰澄上人（たいちょうしょうにん）が大日如来を山頂に祀り開山したことから名付けられたといわれる大日岳。その山の麓にある道の駅。ひるがの高原牛乳で作った、豆腐、プリン、ソフトクリームなどが並んでいます。池の水が太平洋と日本海にそれぞれ注ぐ「分水嶺公園（ぶんすいれいこうえん）」へは車で3分。また、スキー場ルートの拠点でもあります。道路情報やスキー場情報が得られると同時に、チェーン脱着場としての機能も備えています。

Michi-no-eki Dainichi-dake is a service area for drivers, and located on the foothills of Dainichi-dake.
Very popular foods at the shop are soft ice cream, pudding and tofu(soybean curd). They are all made from milk from local farmers in Hirugano.
It takes only 3 minutes from here to the分水嶺公園(Bunsuirei-koen, park). Bunsuirei means a watershed in Japanese.
In winter you can get the information here on skiing area and the roads conditions in this area.
It takes 7 minutes from Takasu IC to the Michi-no-eki Dainichi-dake.
