#FYI_Rochester - Forestville/Mystery Cave State Park
#FYI_Rochester - Forestville/Mystery Cave State Park is 45 minutes from Rochester, MN. Historic Forestville was once a flourishing town, but in 1868 the railroad didn't come, leaving neighboring railroad towns to lure to residents away. By 1910, the last business closed. Today you can tour what remains of Forestville. Views of the exterior are free to see, but interior tours of the remaining building come with a fee.
A short drive from Forestville is Minnesota's longest cave, with its 13 miles of underground passages. A 1 hour scenic tour takes you on 3/4-miles of paved walkways and bridges. (wheelchair & stroller accessible) Tours at Mystery Cave do have a price.
Besides tour fees, Forestville/Mystery Cave State Park requires a vehicle permit ($7 daily, $35 annually)
This state park also provides 20 miles of hiking trails, and 17 miles accessible to horses. 12 miles away in either Preston or Fountain provide access to the 60 mile Root River Bike Trail system.

Join us on another adventure as we take a trip into the depths of the Mystery Cave. With many different tour options we took the easier option having the little guy and all. We still were amazed by the beauty of this cave that the video does no justice to at all. We had such a great time at this state park and would highly recommend it. South Eastern Minnesota has some unreal views. On top of that this state park also has a Cave! As always thanks for watching and don't forget to like and subscribe.
