He makes a very valid point though, about his mine, How much effort do you think is required to get an ounce of gold out of the mine? In the case of Deadwood Junction, a surprising amount of effort is required to operate the small coffee shop, tourism stop, bakery, and summer BBQ joint on BC's Highway 3.

A MESSAGE FROM THE OWNERS OF FORT GREENWOOD RV PARK -
BRYAN & MARILYN BELL
As we are finding out, time catches up to to all of us and we have
reached the decision we have to turn over Fort Greenwood to a
new owner.
The decision to build the Fort came about by the meeting of
circumstances. The City Of Greenwood had 65 lots on Boundary
Creek siting dormant that were surveyed by the founder of the city,
Robert Wood, in 1897. The rest is history. In building the Fort we
had many sources of help, just to mention some of them; Many of
the first residents (lot owners)helped with their labor and invaluable
advice. A local lumber mill supplied us with dimensional lumber, at
cost and a number of Greenwood City residents donated their time
and equipment, We also had a well known Fort curator and
historian from Alberta give us a lot of good advise. It was like an
old fashion barn raising of a 100 years ago. We are very grateful
for all of their help.
So it goes without saying, we want the new owners be to be
respectful of history, both the Fort and the City Of Greenwood. As
the famous BC historian Bill Barlee has said, Greenwood has a
very special place in history and in the development of the old west
and Mining.
