RONALDO (BRAZILIAN footballer) - WikiVidi Documentary
Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima , commonly known as Ronaldo, is a retired Brazilian professional footballer who played as a striker. Popularly dubbed O Fenômeno , he is widely considered to be one of the greatest football players of all time. In his prime, he was known for his dribbling at speed, feints, and clinical finishing. At his best in the 1990s, Ronaldo starred at club level for Cruzeiro, PSV, Barcelona and Inter Milan. His moves to Spain and Italy made him only the second player, after Diego Maradona, to break the world transfer record twice, all before his 21st birthday. At age 23, he had scored over 200 goals for club and country. After almost three years of inactivity due to serious knee injuries and recuperation, Ronaldo joined Real Madrid in 2002, which was followed by spells at A.C. Milan and Corinthians.

Interview: Mark Debernardi/Zirbel - November 1995
This video was directed by Mark Debernardi, Chicago photographer and master printer of the B&W silver print. (That's Mark's voice off camera asking the questions.) It is the first YouTube upload for me of a series I've titled: Raw and rarely seen misc. films/videos -- from deep within my archives.
My messenger street drawings are the subject of this interview which took place back in Nov. '95, a few weeks after I had left my bicycle messenger job on Oct. 12th of that year. (This second stint as a Chicago bike messenger began in the late summer of 1990. I made deliveries for Deadline Express, in an effort to raise funds for a Mental Insect CD/music project.)
Regarding the drawings...I did them on messenger down time, waiting for a run/delivery order from my dispatcher. Why?...to save myself from boredom while keeping my ink drawing chops up. Note that all of the drawings are annotated with the date, time, place in the downtown area of Chicago where the drawings were realized or at least begun.
Dozens of these drawings received their first show at the Judith Racht Gallery on Southport, in Chicago, May 1997. ( It garnered me CHICAGO MAGAZINE's best undiscovered artist that year in response to the show.) This street series was shown again in 1998 by Racht and then for many years thereafter by Angela Usrey (Chattanooga, TN) at the New York Outsider Art Fair through 2012's exhibition.
On occasion in the video you'll hear a Chicago elevated train in the background. It's not your imagination. It's because my studio is right next to the CTA's brown line. Also, note that over my left shoulder is my portrait of Nelson Algren, a painting with collage.
The full title is Madmen and Prophets, Faces on a Winter's Wall: Portrait of Nelson Algren. Purchased in the spring of 2017 by The Nelson Algren Society of Miller Beach, it is on loan to the Nelson Algren Museum of Miller Beach - Gary, Indiana and is presently being exhibited there.
(This video was uploaded with Mark Debernardi's permission.)

The deadliest place on earth: Snake Island | 60 Minutes Australia
Ilha de Queimada Grande, better known as ‘Snake Island,’ is a tiny pocket of land off the coast of Brazil. Home to 4000 Golden Lancehead Vipers, one of the deadliest snakes in the world, the island is considered the most dangerous acreage on the planet. Humans are banned from visiting unless given special clearance. But on 60 Minutes, reporter Tara Brown journeys to the island with Australian molecular biologist and self-confessed snake geek, Bryan Fry as part of a research project studying the potential medical benefits of the snakes’ venom.

Speaking of fans Brazilian - SC Corinthians Paulista #01
It was founded as a football team on September 1, 1910 by a group of workers from the Bom Retiro neighborhood. Its name was inspired by Corinthian FC of London, that toured by Brazil, being called by the Brazilian press of the time of Corinthian's team.
Although it has acted in other sport modalities throughout the years, its recognition and its main achievements have been reached in the soccer. The club is one of the most successful in Brazil and the Americas in recent years. Being the second largest national champion, with ten achievements, behind only Palmeiras. Having won two FIFA Club World Cups (South American record-holder, being surpassed worldwide by Barcelona only), an unbeaten Copa Libertadores of America, a South American Cup Winners' Cup, six Brazilian Championships, three Copas do Brasil, a Supercopa do Brasil (record holder, next to Grêmio), five Rio-São Paulo Tournaments (record holder, next to Palmeirase Santos) and 28 Paulista Championships (current record holder).
Its traditional colors are white and black. Since 2014, send your football matches at the Corinthians Arena. Its historical rivals are Palmeiras, with whom it contests the Derby Paulista, the São Paulo, with whom it contests the Majestic, and the Saints, with which it disputes the Classic Alvinegro. His fans are known as Faithful and his fans are estimated at approximately 35 million spread throughout Brazil and the world, behind nationally only the carioca Flamengo, in addition to being the first in the Southeast. It is also considered one of the biggest fans in the world.

The son of Italian immigrants from Macchiagodena (Isernia), he was famous for his large moustache, bending free kicks, long range shooting, accurate long passing, vision, close ball control and dribbling skills.[3] He also perfected a football move called the flip flap, famously copied by Romário, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Cristiano Ronaldo in recent years.[4] He is widely regarded as one of the most graceful football players ever, and among the best midfielders of his generation. With the close control, feints and ability with his left foot, Diego Maradona named Rivellino among his greatest inspirations growing up.[5] In 2004, he was named by Pelé in the FIFA 100 list of the world's greatest living players.[6]
Rivellino was a key member of Brazil's 1970 FIFA World Cup winning team, which is often cited as the greatest-ever World Cup team.[7][8][9][10] Wearing the number 11 jersey, Rivellino was deployed on the left side of midfield and scored 3 goals, including the powerful bending free-kick against Czechoslovakia, which earned him the nickname Patada Atómica (Atomic Kick) by Mexican fans. Rivellino also played in the 1974 and 1978 FIFA World Cups, finishing in fourth and third place respectively.[11][12]
Rivellino started as a futebol de salao player at Clube Atletico Barcelona. After that, he tried his luck with Barcelona's biggest rival, Corinthians, where he moved on to professional football and quickly became a favourite of the fans—and was therefore nicknamed O Rei do Parque (King of the Park) (after the club's home ground, Parque São Jorge). However, the late 60s and early 70s were one of the most troubled periods in the history of the club, which did not win a single São Paulo state league title between 1954 and 1977.
Rivellino (left) playing in Saudi Arabia in 1979
In 1974, after Corinthians was defeated by arch-rivals Palmeiras in the São Paulo league finals, as the star player Rivellino was singled out by most fans as one of the most responsible for not winning. He moved on to Rio de Janeiro, where he defended Fluminense until the end of the 1970s. Rivellino was undoubtedly the greatest star in the excellent Fluminense of the mid 70s, dubbed the tricolor machine, among Doval, Pintinho, Gil and Carlos Alberto Torres. He won the Rio de Janeiro league championship in 1975 and 1976. By the end of the decade, he moved on to play for Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia; he retired from professional football in 1981.
He (Sérgio Echigo) says now that he invented it, but I perfected it
—Rivellino on the flip flap.[5]
After his professional retirement, Rivellino started a career as a football commentator and coach (he has managed Shimizu S-Pulse in Japan's J. League). Rivellino further represented Brazil in the 1989 edition of the World Cup of Masters, scoring in the final against Uruguay. Rivellino is sometimes credited with scoring the fastest goal in football history when he supposedly scored a goal direct from the kick-off after noticing the opposition goalkeeper on his knees finishing off pre-match prayers.[13]
Regarding the 2014 World Cup held in his country, Rivellino criticized the inclusion of the Amazonian city of Manaus with its stadium Arena da Amazônia in the hosting venues, saying it’s absurd to play in Manaus. You start sweating the moment you leave the locker room.[14] #Rivelino #ريفيلينو #Роберто Ривелино
