Archived Alive - Save a Historian!
Archived Alive, the amazing escape game from History Mystery, is open at Norwich Guildhall.
The City Historian loves to gaze out of his office window overlooking Norwich’s magnificent 900-year-old marketplace, but today there is no face at the window and the historian hasn’t been seen for days. The poor fellow has locked himself in the secure archive vault! He ate the last fluff-covered boiled sweet from his pocket hours ago and his cup of tea didn’t last beyond the first day! Crammed full of puzzles, curios, stories and surprises, his office contains clues to unlock the vault, and only you can save him before he becomes part of history himself.

Historic Norwich : Tombland Alley
SEE MY HISTORY PAGE ON FACEBOOK :
Tombland Alley is directly behind Tombland in Norwich and here we can see the rear of some fine sixteenth century buildings as well as the mystery of the missing synagogue! Much of medieval Norwich would probably have looked like this, in reports dealing with the Ketts Rebellion of 1549, we read of fighting around the narrow streets in the area of Tombland. Those streets would have stretched as far as where the market and Castle Meadow are today.
My channel on you tube : has around 1,800 original films, most in English. My big interest in life is travel and history but I have also placed films on other subjects.
Please feel free to ask questions in the public area or to comment on things you disagree with. Sometimes there are mistakes because I speak without preparation. If I see the mistakes myself, I make this clear in the text. Please also leave a star rating!
There are a number of films here on the packaging industry. This is because I am the publisher of Central and Eastern European Packaging -- - the international platform for the packaging industry in this region focusing on the latest innovations, trends, design, branding, legislation and environmental issues with in-depth profiles of major industry achievers.
Most people may think packaging pretty boring but it possibly effects your life more than you really imagine!
Central and Eastern European Packaging examines the packaging industry throughout this region, but in particular in the largest regional economies which are Russia, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Ukraine and Austria. That is not to say that the other countries are forgotten, they are not, but obviously there is less going on. However the fact that there are so many travel related films here is not from holidays but from business trips attending trade fairs around the region. Every packaging trade fair is a new excuse to make another film!

History of the Kings of Britain - Geoffrey of Monmouth Audiobook Abridged
Narrations taken from Geoffrey of Monmouth’s 12th century ‘History of the Kings of Britain’ and translated from Latin into modern English. Modern historians try to downplay this book and pretend there is no evidence to back up the claims made in it, but most of it is referenced elsewhere and at much earlier times than when it was written.
Historia regum Britanniae (The History of the Kings of Britain), originally called De gestis Britonum (On the Deeds of the Britons), is a pseudohistorical account of British history, written around 1136 by Geoffrey of Monmouth. It chronicles the lives of the kings of the Britons over the course of two thousand years, beginning with the Trojans founding the British nation and continuing until the Anglo-Saxons assumed control of much of Britain around the 7th century. It is one of the central pieces of the Matter of Britain.
