There are some places in this world we have to visit before we die. Places that are so unbelievably beautiful that we need to see it with our own eyes to believe it. This Japanese National Park in Hitachi is one of those places. Between April 15 to May 10, it becomes a place where the ground meets the sky – the Nemophilia flowers, also known as Baby Blue Eyes, bloom making a fantastic landscape that can't be compared to anything else on earth.
Hitachi Seaside Park (国営ひたち海浜公園) is also an amusement park. In fact, there are 7 different areas to explore inside the park, all for a reasonable entry cost of 410 yen for adults, 80 yen for kids.

How to get there:
BY TRAIN
From Tokyo, take the JOBAN LINE from Ueno Station to KATSUTA STATION (勝田駅).
There are express trains leaving twice an hour.
70 Minutes (express) approx. 3820 yen / local train 2110 yen
At KATSUTA STATION to the Park:
1) There is a local bus leaving every 15 minutes for 200 yen
2) A taxi will take 10 minutes and cost about 2000 yen.
3) You can also take Hitachinaka Seaside Railway to Ajigaura Station then walk 20 minutes.
The JR RAIL PASS is valid on all express trains this way.
For reserved seating, make a reservation in advance at the ticket office.

Hitachi Seaside Park is a public park in Hitachinaka, Ibaraki, Japan.
Covering an area of 190 hectares, the Hitachi Seaside Park features blooming flowers around the year. Hitachi Seaside Park has become known for its baby blue-eyes flowers, with the blooming of 4.5 million of the translucent-petaled blue flowers in the spring drawing tourists. In addition to the annual Nemophila Harmony, the park features a million daffodils, 170 varieties of tulips, and many other flowers. The park includes cycling trails and a small amusement park with a Ferris wheel.
Hitachi Seaside Park hosts the Rock in Japan Festival in August every year.
The nearest railway station is Katsuta Station on the JR Joban Line.

Hitachi Seaside Park, located in Hitachinaka, Ibaraki prefecture, Japan, next to the Ajigaura Beach, is a flower park and a popular tourist destination. The park covers an area of 3.5 hectares and the flowers are amazing all year round.
Every autumn thousands of Kochia bushes turn crimson on Miharashi Hill inside the Hitachi Seaside Park in Japan. We simply cannot help but marvel at this remarkable autumn view. It is absolutely wondrous to behold, a must-see for anyone venturing to Japan this time of the year. During the Kochia Carnival visitors can immerse themselves in the park's unique fall colors and walk amongst 36,000 red Kochia bushes and millions of cosmos flowers.

Hitachi seaside park (ひたち海浜公園) that is locates in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan is a beautiful nemophila (ネモフィラ) flower wonderland! In the spring season 2019, the gorgeous field of baby blue eyes nemophila (ネモフィラ) bloom! We took a day trip from Tokyo on a willer bus tour from Tokyo to hitachinaka in Ibaraki. This Tokyo bus tour has many day trip tours from tokyo destinations. The first stop was Hitachi Seaside Park (ひたち海浜公園) tour to see the Japanese nemophila (ネモフィラ). Besides the blue nemophila flower fields, this park includes many other variety of flowers, theme park attractions, and nemophila themed food! Hitachi seaside park (ひたち海浜公園) is another instagrammable Japan opportunity.

This place is home to millions of flowers and plants that provide brilliant displays of color
Hitachi Seaside Park is a 190-hectare floral paradise. The public park in Ibaraki, Japan
covers a huge spectrum of wildlife colors that changes every season
In April, you'll see an overwhelming spread of 4.5 million baby blue flowers
that blend the hues of the hills with the spring sky
This dramatic scene is called Nemophila Harmony
The park also contains an amusement park, cycling paths and BMX courses,
As well as hosting one of the four largest rock music festivals in Japan
the park can be quite large to cover on foot. Grab a bike for a gentle ride around.
Bicycles can be rented for three hours at a time at three park locations for 400 yen
Visitors are also welcome to bring their own bicycles in for no charge.
For those who want to exert the minimum effort possible
the Seaside Train is a relaxing way to get around and covers the park in about 35 minutes.
With stops at 10 different locations, visitors can hop on and off at their own pace
OPENING HOURS
In spring and summer, the park is open from 9:30 to 17:30. From November to February, the hours shorten to 9:30 to 14:30
TICKETS
Adults ¥410 and children ¥210. Annual passes can also be bought at the ticket counter for guests who wish to enjoy the beauty of Hitachi Seaside Park throughout the year.

Blue, blue and blue as far as you can see. 4.5 million Nemophila dye the whole surface of 3.5 hectare Miharashi hill to blue. The sky, the sea and the hill become blue and blend together, this panoramic scene is a masterpiece.
Do visit & enjoy Nemophila in full bloom. It’s just takes 90 minutes to reach Hitachi park from Tokyo. If you want more information you can ask at every JR station or you will get pamphlets of same at every stations.

Hitachi Seaside Park is located on the Pacific Ocean side of the Japanese coast, and incorporates a unique natural environment of sand dunes, forests, grasslands and springs. With a total space of 350 hectares, of which 200 hectares are open to the pacific, this huge spacious park is home to a variety of colorful flowers and grasses throughout the four seasons, as well as numerous other attractions, including an amusement park, large grassland, cycling and BMX tracks, a forest athletics field, BBQs surrounding by nature, and many cafes and restaurants.
